Education

The future entrepreneur was born in the city of Kalinino in 1965. Samvel Karapetyan's family consisted of teachers. His father was a school principal and a specialist in mathematics, and his mother, in turn, worked as an English teacher. In 1986, Karapetyan Samvel Sarkisovich graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After leaving his alma mater, the entrepreneur did not stop doing scientific work. Start a business

The career of an entrepreneur developed quite rapidly. At first, Karapetyan Samvel Sarkisovich was the head of the technological service. Soon he received the position of director of the enterprise. However, the entrepreneur does not stop there. A couple of years later, Karapetyan Samvel Sarkisovich buys out the plant and already in 1989 turns it into a personal diversified cooperative called Zenith. This enterprise is engaged in the production of metal and rubber products. For his activities, Samvel Karapetyan was respected and was far from the last person in the city. And in 1991, the city of Kalinino received its former name Tashir on the initiative of Karapetyan.

Moving to Russia

In 1992 Samvel Sarkisovich Karapetyan left his native country and moved to Russia. In 1997, the entrepreneur acquires an enterprise called Kalugaglavsnab. And two years later, on the basis of the purchased enterprise, the Tashir group of companies was created. Gradually, Tashir includes construction, energy, production assets, marketing and supply organizations, entire chains of hotels, shopping centers, cinemas, residential buildings, and so on. In general, the group includes more than 200 companies that belong to various sectors of the Russian economy.

In 2000, Samvel Sarkisovich Karapetyan opens a charitable foundation called "Tashir". Three years later, the entrepreneur begins to actively capture the Moscow real estate market. Karapetyan buys a plot of land forwhich, two years later, is building a shopping and entertainment center called "RIO".
