Like his father, he received a BS degree (Baccalaureus Scientiae) - Bachelor of Science.

The parents' divorce did not go unnoticed for Donald Jr.: while at school, he behaved introvertedly and did not seek to get close to his peers. At Wharton Business School, he developed a problem with alcohol: in order to be more relaxed, Don became addicted to alcohol.

After graduating, Donald Trump Jr. went to work as a bartender at Aspen, the largest resort in the United States, located in Colorado, to enjoy life. He spent the year hiking, skiing, fishing, and even spending his nights in a truck. Don did not limit himself in alcohol. The turning point was an arrest at a Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans for public drunkenness. He spent half a day in jail. After this incident, Don Jr. decided to follow in his father's footsteps.

Donald Trump Jr. began his career as a businessman in 2001, when, after returning from Aspen, he decided to try his hand at his father's construction empire. Don Jr. showed interest in television: notedas a judge in the Miss USA beauty pageants and made occasional appearances on The Candidate, Trump Sr.'s television show.
