The technology lesson is one of the favorite subjects for children, because in these classes the children learn to create, sculpt, sew, invent, where mental work is sometimes replaced by very fun things.

But for a technology teacher, this is a big responsibility, since any teacher is responsible for the safety of life and he alth of children. Therefore, it is necessary to immediately acquaint students with safety rules at technology lessons.

Paper Handling

This type of work is especially common in elementary school. And it should be noted that it is during this period that the teacher especially carefully needs to monitor compliance with safety rules in technology lessons, since children are still small, and first graders are just beginning to learn all the basics of school life.

1. Don't touch anything. This is the main rule for all activities. Teach children not to take things unnecessarily until the teacher has indicated the need for one or another item, be it scissors, glue or just a pencil. 2. Scissors. This is a sharp object, which means that it can be dangerous to he alth and even human life. In no case should you use them as a toy, wave them from side to side, point them at a nearby person or yourself, because this can cost your he alth. Also, you do not need to run with scissors, but you should pass them by holding on to the tip. They should be in the pencil case until their use is needed. When making cuts, keep your fingers out of the path of the scissors.
3. Paper. Oddly enough, but it can also be dangerous. Firstly, small children often cut themselves on its edges, and this is very unpleasant. It is strictly forbidden to taste paper (yes, and this happens in elementary grades), because chemicals were used in its manufacture that can be harmful to he alth.
4. Glue. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, as you can cause serious harm to your he alth. Wash your hands thoroughly after using the glue.

Sewing

Another dangerous activity in which safety rules must be observed in technology lessons is sewing. After allin addition to the scissors, which have already been mentioned, there is another dangerous item here - a needle.

Never leave a needle unattended, always stick it in a special pad

• When sewing, you need to be extremely careful not to prick yourself or your comrades.
• The thread should not be too long, because otherwise the person has to move his hand far away from himself, for the entire length of the thread, and someone might be sitting next to him.
• If a needle is suddenly lost, a magnet can help find it. Need to swipe them on clothes and gender.

Tech in boys

Special attention should be paid to the safety rules in the technology lesson for boys. Usually in the 5th grade, children for this lesson are divided by gender. Girls are brought up to be future housewives, they are taught to sew, cook, and boys are made into real men.

The latter work in the workshop, where there is an abundance of dangerous items. Therefore, it is extremely important for them to know what can and should be done:

• You need to hold any tools in such a way that the sharp part is directed away from you.
• Use tools only as directed and authorized by the teacher.
• If injured, stop work immediately.
• After finishing work, put away all inventory.

Working with other materials

Technology lesson is notonly sewing, paperwork and workshop. There are other activities in which you need to know and follow the safety rules in technology lessons.

• When working with plasticine, you can not taste it, try to put it in your ears or nose.
• Safety rules for girls' technology classes include knowledge about working in the kitchen. These include work with sharp and cutting objects, which should be used only for their intended purpose and with care; hot stove that can burn you. A frying pan with a handle must be turned away from you so as not to turn it over.
