Chicken manure is 3-4 times richer in composition and nutrient content than cow manure. In addition, it has a very long-term effect. Once introduced into the beds, this type of manure continues its “work” for about 2-3 years. However, the use of chicken manure to increase yields has its own nuances. Consider how to fertilize their beds correctly.

The best and most common way for gardeners is to use not dry, but diluted litter. The fact is that this fertilizer is very strong and, if doses are exceeded, as well as used fresh, it can harm plants. Simply put, they can be burned. Chicken manure, which is preferably used in a diluted and slightly decomposed form, is poured into a barrel so that its volume is no more than a third filled.

Then they wait about 4 days, stirring the liquid from time to time. It is best to cover the container with plastic wrap. This will reduce the loss of nitrogen and rid the area of an unpleasant odor. Further prepared so chicken manure, applicationwhich is allowed in not too large doses, is collected in a bucket and diluted with water about 1 to 4. The color of the resulting mixture should be similar to the color of tea. It is applied to the beds at the rate of one and a half liters per 1 sq. area meter. After this procedure, the soil must be immediately spilled with plenty of water.

Chicken manure, which is preferably used for plant nutrition twice a year, is a fertilizer that almost instantly causes the rapid development of plants, their flowering and fruiting. The first results can be seen in about 2 weeks. However, it must be used strictly in the above doses. The fact is that the nitrogen included in its composition, which is in the form of uric acid, is able to suppress the growth of young plants and seedlings. In addition, decomposing, it is gradually converted into ammonium carbonate, an excess of which can lead to the accumulation of nitrates in vegetables.

Chicken manure for strawberries is considered especially useful. In this case, it is best to apply it before the first leaves appear. At later dates, feeding should be done as carefully as possible, so as not to completely fall asleep bushes.

If this happens, they may die.

Chicken manure, the use of which is allowed only in a rotten form, can be prepared in another way - by composting. To do this, a 30-centimeter layer of peat is poured onto the ground. This is followed by a layer of manure, then again peat, etc. To prevent the appearance of a smell, the resulting pile is covered with polyethylene on top and covered with earth. After about 1.5 months, the resulting compost will be ready for use.

You can feed this type of organic fertilizer not only for herbaceous plants, but also for fruit trees. To do this, use a solution of fresh or composted chicken manure at the rate of one part to ten parts of water. It is left to infuse for 2 - 3 days, and then the near-stem circle is watered, adding about 8 - 10 liters per 1 m2. Such top dressing should be done at the beginning or middle of summer.
