- The first are those that dictate the rules of the way of life. Such people are in constant search for new things, often change their appearance and lifestyle, give preference to one or another technical innovation. They understand modern trends and always keep their nose to the wind, ready to join a new stream as quickly as possible, or they themselves become a source of fashionable movements. Such people can tell with certainty whether this or that thing will be popular, and are also able to predict the success or failure of a new trend.
- Trendsetters of narrow directions. These people set the direction in a certain narrow industry without affecting areas unrelated to it. They may be less outrageous and bright personalities, but their word and opinion has a lot of weight in one particular area. An example of a trendsetter in the field of technology is Steve Jobs, who gave the world the concept of a "smartphone", without which no modern person can imagine his life now.
How to become a trendsetter?
Today, anyone who has acquired the required level of popularity can become a trendsetter. It is not necessary for this to be a world famous fashion designer or an authoritative public figure. Actors, musicians, bloggers, sports stars and politicians are trendsetters in their fields.
The popularity of movie stars allows them to dictate fashion trends on their own, if the numberfans allows. Or, using their fame, manufacturers of clothing, jewelry, perfume, cars and other things do it, involving TV stars in advertising their products. Human psychology is designed in such a way that we automatically want to have a thing that is recommended or simply owned by more successful people. The image of rich and successful Hollywood stars instills in us a desire to buy expensive things, because it seems to us that this way we will look better against the background of others and meet high standards.
To be a trendsetter, it is not necessary to be world famous like Madonna and Steve Jobs, because a trendsetter is a person who sets trends, one who is followed by others. In a small group of friends, there may be someone whose image or lifestyle is contagious, and there are a few people who express a desire to be like him. Today, to take over the minds of people, it is enough to be charismatic and different from the gray masses.
Cosmetics trendsetters
As mentioned above, there is a category of trendsetters working in a certain narrow area. These areas include products from the field of cosmetic services. Cosmetics distributors can be mentioned as an example. For the successful work of the company, it conducts market research, anticipating the needs of consumers. For example, on the territory of Russia there are certain zones in which agents of different firms work, they are called the territories of trendsetters.
As a trendsetter for companies, the distributorcosmetics researches the market and offers products that are guaranteed to be popular in the future. Trendsetters are representatives of network companies working ahead of the curve.
