This type of lubricant is made from high quality petroleum-derived oils with the addition of a special potassium-lithium soap as a thickening agent. This is done for a variety of operating conditions. Lubricant No. 158 is manufactured at one of the most modern enterprises in our country, and is produced on the basis of advanced technologies, using only high-quality materials.
The product looks like a soft, buttery blue texture. The color gives it the presence of copper in the composition, its components play the role of a thickener. This type of lubricant is used as an anti-friction lubricant in automotive technology.
Benefits of Lubrication
Grease No. 158 has high mechanical stability and resists the oxidation process for quite a long time under the influence of various aggressive media. It practically does not undergo destruction under the influence of water, perfectly prevents such negative effects as wear of metal parts of mechanisms. It has high sliding properties during friction of parts, the operating temperature range is quite wide and ranges from -30 to +110 °C. After application to working parts, it retains its sliding properties for a long time and does not spread, thereby protecting parts from premature wear during operation. Another advantage can be considered low cost, which makes it common.

Grease Specifications No.158 are not very different from other similar materials. It has a color that varies from light blue to dark blue, depending on the amount of copper-containing thickener in it. Potassium-lithium compounds are used as soap, according to the NLGI consistency, it has indicators of 1-2. The oil, on the basis of which the lubricant is produced, has a mineral origin and a homogeneous structure, it is not divided into components.
Grease No. 158 has a tensile strength at 50 °С not lower than 160 Pa, while the effective viscosity at 0 °С and an average strain rate gradient of 10 s-1 not more than 400 Pass. This lubricant contains a mass fraction of free alkali in terms of NaOH, not more than 0.1%. Grease No. 158 contains a small amount of water, which does not affect the metal parts of the mechanisms.
Application
The main application of grease No. 158 was found in automotive and tractor electrical equipment. In alternators, starters and magnetos, it is perfectly preserved for several years without replacement, preventing failure of the rolling bearing. This allows for a long time not to lubricate some components and mechanisms of automotive equipment. Subject to the operating conditions of lubricant No. 158, it allows the mechanisms of machines to operate smoothly for 300 km.
