The Etherium Forge is a lost Dwemer structure that can be found in the open spaces of Skyrim. Available in the Dawnguard update.

History of the Forge

The quest can be obtained by meeting the ghost of the traveler Katria in the ruins of Arkntamz. The girl will tell about her search, the hero will receive the quest "Lost for centuries".

This can befound near the city of Ivarstead in the Ruins of Btalft. This city was built by the Dwemer as part of a huge complex, but because of the war it was not completed, fell into decay and collapsed.

It is recommended to equip yourself with something that deals cold damage, as well as use potions that increase fire resistance, because the centurion attacks with streams of flame.

Working with the forge

You can use the Dwemer machine only once - the ethereum forge allows you to forge one of three unique items:

1. Etherian crown - an item that allows you to use two activated additional amplifications from guardian stones at the same time. Usually when a bonus from one stone is taken, the bonus from another burns out. Useful for players to quickly upgrade their character - you can activate stones that increase experience.
2. Etherium magic staff - when used, summons a Dwemer spider and a Dwemer sphere for 60 seconds. Useful only at the initial levels, as higher level opponentsdeal with these Dwemer mechanisms in one blow.
3. Etherium shield is a useful item for warriors who prefer to quickly run past the crowd of opponents to the target. When hit by a shield, the enemy turns into a ghost for 15 seconds. In this state, the enemy cannot attack or take damage.

Most often players prefer the crown.

During the quest, you can get Zephyr - a Dwarven bow owned by Katria. You can find it in Arkntamz on a tree hanging over an abyss. You should be careful: the bow can fall into a turbulent river stream and be lost.

The lake of lava that the Master Blacksmith emerges from can be overcome with fire resistance potions and spells that restore he alth. On the other side you can find a chest with valuable items, as well as two corridors, each of which leads to treasures.
