One of the most versatile types of long products is strip. This is a narrow metal strip used in the production of cutting tools, springs, metal profiles and various types of structures. What is a strip?
In translation from English, the term "strip" means "tape" or "strip". What are they made of?

It is produced with increased accuracy, ranging in size from 3 to 10 meters. In the future, steel strips are used as blanks for the production of welded pipes. Metal strips are part of long shaped steel and comply with the standard (GOST 535-88). After rolling on slitting lines, the strip is rewound into a roll and in this form is used as raw material and blanks in other production processes:
- in the woodworking industry;
- in stamping technologies;
- for packaging operation when transporting finished products;
- when installing plastic windows, plasterboard structures.
Galvanized tape
Zinc-coated strip is also available in sheets and rolls. It is designated by the basic marking OTs and complies with GOST 14918-80. In turn, it is divided into four groups. The first group includes galvanized strip intended for cold stamping. To the second group - going for coloring. The third group includes galvanized coils and sheets intended for cold production. To the fourth group - rolls and sheets of general purpose.
Galvanized steel has both one-sided and two-sided protective zinc, polymer coating. Successfully applied in the field of automotive and constructionvarious industrial and civil facilities.

Pros of using a strip

Main applications of steel strip
