How to use park and ride for free: instructions for the driver

A relatively long time ago, a very useful innovation was introduced in the capital - intercepting parking lots near metro stations. Many drivers have already become regular users of this service. And for those who do not yet know what it is, we will tell you how to use the intercept parking. We have prepared a short guide.

Where are park and ride parks?

Today, there are more than 20 similar parking lots near metro stations in Moscow. But this is not the final figure - their number should be 58 by 2020. The total capacity will be more than 21,000 cars. Some are additionally equipped with bike racks.

Before you use the underground parking lot, you need to be aware of its location. Today, such parking lots operate near the following metro stations:

• "Bibirevo".
• "Vykhino".
• Volokolamsk.
• "Medvedkovo".

How much does it cost?

Before using park and ride in Moscow, you need to know about the cost of the service. All parking lots have the same tariffs:

• Basic. Is free. Conditions: parking from 6:00 to 2:00; making at least two trips on the subway after you parked the car.
• Night. 100 rubles. For leaving the car in the park and ride from 2:00 to 6:00.
• Commercial. 50 rubles/hour. Valid if you did not make two trips on the subway between 6:00-2:00.

Note that the system will not allow you to save on parking if you decide to exit and enter at the same metro station. The information terminal will keep track of which stations you paid for with your ticket.

How to use the subway park and ride for free?

If you want to use the free parking service, the sequence of your actions is as follows:

1. Get a parking card, park your car in a park and ride park.
2. Take the subway train to your destination. You can pay at the turnstile with a Troika, a Muscovite social card, a single pass or a 90 minutes ticket.
3. Return to the subway station where the car was left.
4. At the subway exit, you need to use the yellow information terminal. Tap "Parking En titlement". Hold your parking card near the yellow circle. Next, you need to attach the ticket with which you paid at the turnstile. The device will confirm the right to free parking. Then swipe the parking card again - the message "Payment information for the basic tariff plan has been entered on the card" should appear.
5. How to use park and ride next? Return to the parking lot, insert the parking card into the terminal. The inscription will be displayed: "The card does not require payment."
6. Within 15 minutes after that, you will need to pick up your car. To exit the parking area, insert the card into the exit counter.

Parking fee

If you decide to use the "Commercial" and "Night" rates, then the use of park and ride is similar to the algorithm for regular parking. At the entrance you get a parkingcard, which you keep until departure. Before picking up the car, pay for it at the payment terminal. Then within 15 minutes you must pick up your car. At the exit, place your parking card in a special counter.

Which cars can't be parked in park-and-ride?

Parking not accessible to vehicles:

• Without state numbers.
• In disrepair, badly damaged, brought in tow.
• Motor vehicles - mopeds, motorcycles, etc.
• Vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons, with 8 seats except the driver's seat.
• Transport with dimensions: width - more than 3 meters, height - more than 2.1 meters.
