If today we take any mechanism used in industries such as agriculture, construction, industry, or even any household appliance, then its details will definitely include an electric motor. This assembly unit is very important. The success of almost any operation depends on general industrial electric motors.
Application of Aggregates
Currently, such devices are used very widely. They are used in almost all systems where open or closed type mechanisms are involved. The use of a general industrial electric motor is possible if there is an electrical network with such voltages as 220/380/660 V. In this case, the current frequency should be equal to 50Hz.
It is also important to say that these units may differ from each other in their design. Depending on their design, such electrical mechanisms can be used in such aggressive environments as explosive, wet, dusty, as well as in various otherunfavorable conditions. For this reason, when choosing a general industrial electric motor, it is necessary to take into account its design and the place where it will be installed.
Performance Features
The first thing to understand is that in their design, initially, all electric motors differ in the structure of an asynchronous AC consumer with a squirrel-cage rotor. Such a design feature of general industrial electric motors eliminates the possibility that a spark is formed inside. And this, in turn, makes it possible to use the units in explosive areas, as well as where air humidity reaches 98%.
Marking
Currently, in the manufacture of such devices, enterprises are guided by GOST 15150, which states that the electric motor must be made from a combination of any metals. It can be steel, cast iron, duralumin. Also, these units are divided into four main types according to their design features, which is always reflected in the marking of the device:
- U - means that the engine must be placed in a temperate climate zone or has a macroclimatic version.
- UHL - this marking indicates that the general purpose electric motor can be used in a moderately cold zone.
- HL - this marking indicates that the unit can be installed in a cold zone.
- T is the last marking that indicates that the engine is tropicalised.
It is also important to note that the letter marking is often followed by a number. These symbols indicate the location of each motor:
- 1 - engine can be operated outdoors;
- 2 - use this type of units, it is necessary under a protective canopy, which shelters from adverse factors with direct impact;
- 3 - the operation of the electric motor must be carried out in a closed room without ventilation;
- 4 - the device is used indoors with temperature control.
Electric motor AIR
Common industrial electric motors AIR 80 V4 by their design are asynchronous closed models that are used in all industries. Most often they are installed as an electromotive part for industrial devices, mechanisms or machines. The design of such models, as well as their operating conditions, are regulated by GOST 2479-79.
The advantages of these machines include the following:
- ability to withstand short-term mechanical overload;
- the design of such a mechanism is very simple;
- starting the general industrial electric motor AIR is simple, as is the automation of the whole process;
- maintaining speed in almost any situation;
- efficiency factor (COP) of the unit increased to 75% due to the fact that the accuracy of manufacturing the product is high;
- high-precision bearings are used during assembly, which reduces the noise level from the device to 55 dB;
- IP54 motor protection rating for increased protection against water and dust;
- casting of the body of the device is made of gray cast iron;
- reactive current level reduced to 0.86, suggesting reduced risk of grid overvoltage.
Technical parameters
Asynchronous general industrial electric motor AIR has a rotor speed of 1500 rpm, and its power is 1.5 kW. The operability of the device is provided by an electrical network with alternating current with a frequency of 50 Hz. If this indicator is 60 Hz, then it is necessary to purchase a motor under the order. This unit is intended for operation in a temperate climate zone. However, it is possible to purchase an engine with a different version: for cold climates (HL), for marine (OM2), for tropical (T). In addition, it is possible to purchase a general industrial electric motor AIR with chemical protection, with increased accuracy, etc.
Three-phase motors
Three-phase motor models have the following features:
- energy indicators, such as efficiency, as well as mechanical (starting andmaximum moments) are very high;
- conversion technologies are used in the manufacture, as well as low-noise bearings, which fully provides the root mean square value of the vibration velocity, both normal and increased;
- degree of protection of three-phase asynchronous general industrial motors - IP54;
- such engines can be produced with different design features, for different climatic conditions, and can also be provided with protection against high or low temperatures;
- also similar models are distinguished by modern design and ergonomic performance.
When creating these units, specially selected materials are used, as well as special components, which ensures high and stable energy performance.
Purpose of engines
Three-phase asynchronous general industrial electric motors with a squirrel-cage rotor are intended for use in various areas of industry and agriculture. There they are used to drive machine tools, pumps, compressors, fans, mills, etc. It is also worth noting that this series of electric motors, in terms of its installation and connection dimensions, is completely interchangeable with such a series of motors as 4A, 5A, AIR, 2AI, 4AM.
It can be added that the production of such models is carried out using materials and technologies that are used to manufacture explosion-proof engines.
Efficiencyelectric motors
The production of these devices is carried out under the rated voltage of the electrical network - 220, 380, 660 V, as well as under the rated frequency of alternating current 50 Hz. However, it is possible to order special electric motors that will work with a different voltage, as well as with a frequency of 60 Hz. It is also worth noting that the production design of electric motors involves three output ends. However, under the customer's order, it is possible to manufacture a unit with six output ends. The winding connection in such general industrial electric motors is most often a "star" or a "triangle".
