Grinding machine: varieties and uses

The grinding machine is used to make the surface of the product even and smooth. Basically, the presented device processes wood. The devices perform several basic operations: chamfering and sagging, rounding, calibrating and leveling surfaces.

There are several types of processing devices: combined disc grinder, belt device and belt polisher. The first type is used for finishing and roughing parts, aligning corners. The kit comes with two circles. Such a unit can be stationary and portable.

As for the second type of devices, all actions on them are performed using the tape. The skin is usually sold in rolls, which are cut into strips of the desired size. Moreover, they can have large or small abrasive grains on the surface, as well as a continuous or partial filling of abrasive material. The presented cars can also be divided into several types.

For example, a belt sander can have both narrow andwide skin. If the device works on narrow strips, then it has the following features: one or two belts can be fixed on the unit, the feed can be mechanical or manual, a free belt can be used for flat material processing. The procedure occurs due to the movement of the iron and the table, and they move in different directions.

If the grinding machine works on a wide abrasive strip, it can calibrate workpieces in thickness and perform flat processing of panel parts. It works according to this principle: the iron presses the abrasive strip against the material and starts moving. Any dust resulting from sanding is automatically brushed off.

The multi-unit type grinder is a combination of wide belt and narrow belt properties. However, such devices are used on an industrial scale.

Of course, before starting work, any device must be inspected for breakdowns or defects, as well as set it up. If the unit is large enough, then several people should serve it.

Another type of processing unit is the grinding and polishing machine. It is used for stone processing. The action is performed using abrasive wheels of the end type. Moreover, the presented device can also be classified into several types:

- portal units are powerful devices with which very hard and durable stones are polished, and the portal can move or remain onlocation;

- bridge devices, used for processing stone slabs;

- knee-lever machines, used for grinding small elements of stone products.

You can also select stationary, portable and combined units. There are also special polishing machines that are used to grind the edges and ends of various products.
