There is more "service" in the modern world. Too much, according to some people. But still, one cannot but admit that such a saturation of the environment with a wide variety of services is very convenient for a working person. 24-hour food delivery, dry cleaning, hairdressing - all this makes our life more comfortable.

Don't forget the car wash. And if earlier the driver himself put his iron horse in order, today others will do all the work for him. You only need to choose the type of car wash and pay for the procedure.

Self-service

This option is suitable for those who do not want to overpay, but at the same time want to drive a clean car. How does it work?

The driver drives up in a car, drives it into the box and pays for the time - at the cashier or through an automatic bill acceptor. Then you can start washing the body with a washing gun - the water flows under pressure and the dirt is washed off. Theoretically, the procedure should not take more than 10 minutes, and the average cost of washing will be (in Moscow) about 200 rubles.

Now for the sad part. Self-service car washesthey are good only for their pricing policy, in everything else they are solid minuses. Firstly, the driver will definitely get dirty - drops of dirt and water will fall on the clothes anyway. Secondly, it is difficult to follow the correct sequence for a good wash, namely: moisturizing (to get all the dirt wet), main wash, rinse, wax, shine and dry.

So this type of car wash should only be used in the summer. And for light and fresh dirt that is easy to remove.

Manual contact

What types of car washes are there? According to their principle of operation and the equipment used, they are all divided into contact and non-contact, manual and automatic.

The simplest type is a manual contact wash. It is more common in our country than all others. In fact, the procedure is not much different from the "household" water procedures for the iron horse. The only difference is that someone else will clean the car, and not with a garden hose and rags, but with a special shampoo and a pressure washer.

This type of washing has a lot of advantages: with a conscientious approach, the worker will remove dirt, plaque and stains from all hard-to-reach places - from the inner surface of the disks, at the junctions of mirrors and handles. In this case, the owner can point out the shortcomings, and they will be corrected.

There are also disadvantages, and the main one is the human factor. The quality of work directly depends on the conscientious attitude of the employee, on his diligence andindustriousness. But often the staff is not too interested in raising service standards. And in the summer, when queues line up for them, the washers have neither the strength nor the motivation to bring every car to shine.

Hand contactless

The next type of car wash is foam or manual contactless. It is not very common in our country, but it is found in some places. The main equipment is a foam generator, which creates thick foam from special tablet charges. Using a sprayer, the foam is applied to the body, then after a few minutes it is washed off with a high-pressure apparatus. Next, the machine is dried with an industrial hair dryer.

The advantages of this procedure is that there is no manual wiping of the body. This means that there is no risk of damaging the paintwork with small grains of sand that may be on a napkin.

The cons are as follows: the human factor, as a result of which the car may not be washed clean enough or not dried, and the greed of car wash owners who save on good consumables.

Auto contact

There are other types of car washes in car washes, in which the influence of the human factor is minimized. Here the whole process is automated, and all the participation of the staff is reduced to the work of an operator who simply presses the buttons.

Automatic contact washing is not very common in our country, but all of it is well represented in American films. According to their design features, they aretwo types - tunnel and portal. In the tunnel, the car drives into the conveyor, which transports it along the cleaning complex - it is cleaned with brushes, watered and finally dried with a hairdryer. In a portal car wash, the car stands on a platform along which a U-shaped frame with washing equipment moves.

Pros: no human factor, speed, and with good debugging of the washing complex - high quality of the procedure.

Disadvantages: low quality of washing due to the desire of owners to save on expensive consumables - replacement brushes and shampoos. In addition, due to the design features, such a complex is not able to wash dirt from hard-to-reach places or clean off stubborn plaque.

Automatic contactless

The last type of car wash is an automatic touchless way. It is generally similar to the previous one, but with one significant difference - instead of brushes, high-pressure water jets wash away dirt.

Pluses in the absence of a human factor and minimizing the risk of scratching the body with grains of sand or hard bristles. In addition, there is no need for owners to save money - there are no expensive consumables here.

There are also disadvantages: a superficial "cosmetic" result, the risk of exacerbating existing problems with the paintwork (an increase in microcracks, an increase in the number of corrosion centers), a high probability of water getting inside the interior of cars with weak door seals.

What other types of car wash are there and what is included in the procedure? All of the above applies to the body wash. And what to do with the salon? Forit has its own list of procedures that must be ordered and paid separately.

Types of car wash

External cleaning of the machine is much less complicated than internal cleaning. Outside, the car has only metal, while inside there are a wide variety of materials - plastic, leather, suede, fabric, glass, rubber, etc. And everyone needs to be able to clean.

Interior cleaning can be as follows:

  1. Dry. With a vacuum cleaner for the car.
  2. Wet. Washing vacuum cleaner.
  3. Steam cleaning. Using a steam cleaner.
  4. Foam cleaning. With detergents.
