In Udmurtia, after the establishment of Soviet power, hard times came. Izhevsk was an industrial city, the situation of workers in factories was difficult. Residents of the village of Varaksino respect the management of Varaksino Poultry Farm LLC. A general education school, a kindergarten were built in the village, there is a feldsher-obstetric station, a cultural complex, and shops on the territory.

The highest object in Udmurtia is the TV tower "Varaksino", its height is 340 meters, that is, it is approximately a 100-storey building.

Hope Factory

The poultry farm is the main enterprise of the village. In October 1963, it was separated from the Izhevsk poultry farm into an independent enterprise. It became known as the Varaksino Poultry Farm. In 1968, the Varaksino Poultry Farm was organized with a design capacity of 100,000 laying hens. Since then, it reports directly to the Ministry of Agriculture. A new building was built, spacious and more modern, the work of the workers was made as light as possible. The factory raises chickens to produce high quality eggs.

Anatomy of production

Daily, this largest poultry farm in Udmurtia produces more than 2 million eggs. Eggs are incubated at the production site, day-old chicks are sent to Votkinskaya and Izhevskaya poultry farms and raised on site.

Chickens are raised for the production of table and vitamin-enriched eggs, in addition, the factory sells poultry products. The chickens of the parent flock of the poultry farm come from Germany. The day of an adult chicken starts at 6 am, after the lights are turned on in the house. The hen lays eggs in the first 3 hours. One hen produces one egg per day.

The floor of the cage is sloping to prevent eggs from breaking. The collection process is as automated as possible. The conveyor delivers the eggs to the primary sorting point, from where they are sent to the central egg collection.

On average, each chicken in the poultry farm produces 330 eggs a year. According to Rosptitsesoyuz, this is one of the best indicators in the industry. The main sorting of eggs and their packaging take place in the egg sorting shop. During the day, poultry workers sort about 1.7 million eggs. The operator places the cassettes on the conveyor of a modern Dutch Moba egg grading machine. Robot with pneumatic suction cupstransfers the eggs to the conveyor, the automation determines the weight of the egg and distributes it into categories. After that, the machine detects shell defects and rejects poor-quality products. In one hour, 240,000 eggs pass through two sorting machines. Sorted eggs are sent for packaging. Here they are once again checked and packaged. Modern packaging reduces the risk of breaking eggs during their transportation to the counter. The Italian thermopacking machine "SmiPak" seals cassettes and large boxes with eggs. From here they are delivered to stores located in 27 regions of Russia. The warehouse of the poultry farm is designed to store 9 million eggs. The quality of the egg depends on the conditions of the bird and its nutrition. The microclimate in the poultry house of the factory is constant, it does not depend on the weather and season.

Achievements

The poultry farm has its own fields and a special feed preparation workshop, which produces 170 tons of vitamin-grass flour per year. All this allows you to keep the bird in conditions as close to natural as possible, as if laying hens lived in the village. Poultry farm "Varaksino" occupies the fifth place in the rating of the industry association of poultry farmers in Russia, is a repeated winner of the competition "100 Best Goods of Russia". The enterprise has been part of the large Russian agricultural holding KOMOS GROUP since 2006. By 2018, Varaksino will produce 755 million eggs a year.

The poultry farm has 3 own brands: "SeloGreen", "Varaksino", "Sunny Yard".

When the poultry farms "Varaksino", "Izhevskaya" and "Votkinskaya" were merged in the holding company KOMOS, financial management of all three sites was combined, planning the order of payments, cash flow budgets for each site were formed. Significantly reduced the time for processing orders by the warehouse and 10 times the number of errors in warehouses.

Product quality of the Varaksino poultry farm

It meets all the requirements of federal retail chains. Varaksino produces eggs for Auchan, Bakhetle, Azbuka Vkusa, X5 RETAIL GROUP. According to experts, selected eggs of the Selo Zelyonoe brand have excellent characteristics, do not contain antibiotics and harmful microorganisms. They were in first place among the six contestants in terms of the content of nutrients.

It should also be noted the positive feedback about the meat. Varaksino Poultry Farm LLC produces not only eggs. The assortment of the factory includes steaks, meatballs, sausages, chicken meat of the 1st grade and chicken ventricles.
