Features

Tomato "Flashen" - a variety bred by a German breeder. It is still little known on the Russian market. Those who tried to grow it on their site appreciated the yield, the excellent taste of the fruit.

Variety of tomatoes "Flashen" obtained by splitting the hybrid variety Corianne. Because of this, it is not entirely correct to single it out as a separate variety; rather, it is a group of variety types resembling a bottle in shape.

Tomato "Flashen" has small fruits weighing from 30 to 70 grams of a characteristic elongated finger shape resembling a bottle.

Diseases

The culture is resistant to late blight, but it does not tolerate top rot well. To avoid it, it is necessary to follow preventive procedures: water the bushes in a timely manner, apply fertilizers containing calcium.

Growing

Tomato "Flashen" is grown through seedlings. Before sowing, the seeds are checked for defects in order to achieve full germination. To determine the quality of the seed, s alted water is used, in which the seeds are immersed. All those that rise up are removed. The rest that have sunk to the bottom are used for sowing.

To do this, take a shallow container, which is filled with soil. Then prepared seeds are sown in it, deepening them by 1-1.5 cm. After 5-10 days, shoots will appear. As soon as the first true leaves unfold on them, they dive into separate containers.

At the age of 60 days, seedlings are planted in a permanent place. Do not be afraid to deepen it to the first leaves. This helps to grow an additional root system.

During the development of the vegetative part, a bush is formed. This procedure involves the removal of all stepchildren fromleaf axils. In the northern regions, in the central part of Russia, 2-3 leaves are left next to each brush when forming. As soon as the tomatoes are poured, they begin to sing, the leaves are removed. In the southern regions, the formation is carried out, leaving more leaves. This is necessary so that the fruits do not overheat and do not get burned.

As the harvest progresses, the lower tufts are completely removed.

Irrigation

Tomatoes love abundant, infrequent watering. It is best to do this under the root with a tape for drip irrigation. This method of liquid delivery allows the plant to receive the right amount of moisture and form an extensive root system. If you water a little and only the upper layers, then only they are moistened, and the root system develops superficial.

Tomato flavor changes when watered too much. The fruits begin to crack, fungal diseases appear. Uneven, insufficient moisture when the soil dries out leads to the formation of vertex rot.

If water gets on the trunk, leaves or fruits, the plant can become infected with fungal diseases.

Feeding

To get a good crop of "Flashen" it is necessary to feed it periodically so that they receive all the necessary trace elements.

The first feeding is carried out ten days after planting the seedlings in a permanent place and before flowering. At this point, it is necessary to introduce mineral fertilizer. After the formation of the first fruits, the bushes are fedpotash fertilizers. Ideal for top dressing are special mineral additives for tomatoes. They contain all the necessary nutrients needed by the plant at different stages of development.

Tomatoes are self-pollinating species that produce pollen in large quantities. However, self-pollination does not always take place in such a way that fruits are formed. Shaking the plant twice a day while gently holding the stem is recommended for all flowers to become ovaries.
