It is on these specialists that further work depends. But what kind of people are they, what do they do and who belongs to the operational and maintenance personnel?
General concept
Operational and maintenance personnel are those people who maintain existing electrical installations, carrying out repairs, installation, commissioning, and also performing operational switching if necessary. Only persons with high profile qualifications can apply to this position.
Who belongs to the operational and maintenance personnel?
This position can be occupied by specially trained, highly qualified and trained personnel capable of performing operational work on repair, adjustment and installationelectrical installations assigned to it.
Operational and maintenance personnel belongs to the category of "electrotechnical" employees. In this work, there are five levels of access, which are divided into groups. The employee of each group has its own powers and responsibilities.
Access groups
The group number depends on the length of service, qualifications, education, knowledge and practical skills, according to the job description of the operational and maintenance personnel.
I group is assigned after an introductory briefing, an oral knowledge test, as well as a test of knowledge of first aid and the theory of safe work with certain electrical installations.
II group can be assigned to an employee after completing a training course lasting seventy-two hours. After completing the course, the employee must pass a small exam, where in practice he must show the mentor the knowledge that he received. In addition, you must show all the necessary knowledge about the technical characteristics of electrical equipment and how to protect yourself from electric shock.
III group can be obtained after gaining work experience (from one to three months) in the position of operational and maintenance personnel in the first or second group. To obtain the third group of admission, the employee must know the maintenance procedure and the principle of operation of electrical engineering. Know the safety regulations, listrequirements and responsibilities for each series of jobs. Be able to properly monitor the operation of equipment and perform safe operation of the device.
IV group can be obtained after four to six months of work in the previous group. In addition, at the exam, you need to show knowledge of technology at the level of a technical school course, know the rules of the provisions on labor protection, equipment operation, fire safety and first aid if necessary. To study the equipment plans of the site where the employee works and be able to take safety measures, as well as be able to competently observe the work of other workers. In addition, master the skills of conducting briefings for staff.
V group is assigned after working with the previous group from one to two years. Knowledge that an employee should have: know the technical characteristics, schemes and rules for operating equipment within the scope of his position, as well as technological and production processes. Improve methods, clearly state the requirements and tasks for employees, be able to train personnel in the basic provisions of technology and fire safety.
According to the results of each exam, the employee is issued a special certificate confirming the group and degree of access to the equipment.
Obligations of operational and maintenance personnel
The main responsibility is to quickly respond and carry out maintenance and repair activities on assigned installations. The exception is duty, which is notis carried out on these installations.
Operational workers commit to:
- carry out certain activities to prepare the workplace;
- switch the operating modes of technical equipment;
- prophylactic inspection of equipment;
- repair and mount devices;
- clearing access to colleagues (depending on the group).
The operational and maintenance personnel have a great responsibility for the safe for life and he alth work of employees and their own in particular.
Duplicate
Duplication of operational and maintenance personnel is a job after an additional internship and another test of the employee's knowledge. Such a procedure is appointed by the commission in the event of a break (more than six months) in work or in other cases, if required by the leadership.
When duplicating, the basic knowledge of working with electrical installations and safety rules in the workplace is checked. Such a procedure is carried out according to the program, taking into account the regulations on operational and maintenance personnel approved by the authorities.
Admission to duplication is issued by the authorities with prior notification of all necessary authorities, as well as third-party organizations with which negotiations are underway.
Duration and essence of duplication
The duration of duplication for operational and maintenance personnel with the function of leadership (IV and V groups) is at least twelve work shifts. For the first, second and third groups from two to twelve work shifts. Morethe exact deadline for completing this procedure is determined by the authorities and the chairman of the examination committee.
During duplication, after an oral knowledge test, the employee must undergo fire and emergency training with a mark in the logbook. The topic of training is determined by the program. In case of an unsatisfactory assessment, the duplication process is extended for a period not exceeding twelve work shifts, and additional training events are assigned.
Without a certificate of successful completion of this procedure, an employee is not allowed to work.
Internship
Before undergoing duplication, an employee must complete an internship.
The internship is supervised by the most experienced and qualified employee. This procedure is also carried out according to a specific program, which differs for each position. The duration of the internship is from two to fourteen working shifts. The number of shifts is determined by the management. The head of the team may exempt the subordinate from the internship if his work experience is more than three years.
The duration of this event is set individually, depending on the education, work experience and qualifications of the employee.
