Poultry is one of the main industries in the Russian Federation. Every day, most of our compatriots buy chicken meat. Why? The answer is simple. This is because it is one of the cheapest types of meat products at the moment, one of the most useful, protein-rich and quick-cooking products.
In the article below, we will analyze which poultry farms in Russia currently exist, which of them are in the top of the largest in terms of turnover and where they are located. We will also tell you a little about each of them.
General information
There are a lot of enterprises with this kind of profile in Russia. But only 5 factories have a truly gigantic scale of production. These are Okskaya, Yaroslavskaya, Sinyavinskaya, Severnaya, Magnitogorsk poultry farms. Each of them has its own history, traditions and customs. It is them that we will analyze in our review.
Okskaya poultry farm
The first one we'll look at is this factory. It is one of the largest in Russia and the largest poultry farm in the Ryazan region. Its complex includesgrain farm, feed mill and poultry farm.
The plant began its activity in 1972 on the initiative of Vasily Andreevich Sidorenko. In 1973, a significant event for the factory took place - the first 12 thousand chickens hatched.
As production developed, it was decided to combine several agricultural enterprises of the Ryazan region. The Okskaya includes two poultry farms: Rybnovskaya and Gorodskaya, Aleksandrovsky breeding poultry farm and Denezhnikovsky feed mill.
As a result of these manipulations, the Oka Poultry Farm was able to control the full production cycle, from feed production to the finished product.
The main sales market is the nearest regions and cities. Among regular customers are Moscow and the Moscow region, and, of course, the Ryazan region. We managed not only to establish sales in small retail outlets, but also to sign contracts with the giants of Russian supermarket chains, such as Metro, Auchan, Magnit, and so on.
At the moment, there are high egg-laying rates of birds at the enterprise - about 1,300,000 eggs per day. But every year the turnover is getting bigger and bigger. So, in 2001, only 350,000 eggs were produced.
The company has a profit margin of 83.3% on eggs, 4% on grain, and 12% on poultry meat.
The company uses the proceeds to provide financial support to schools and kindergartens. In the village of Oksky, a sports hall was repaired and restored. For example, after a hard day at workanyone can come in and work out on modern simulators.
Magnitogorsk Poultry Complex
Another largest poultry farm in Russia. The company was founded in 1999. Like the enterprise described above, it has a full range of production. Three sectors of production: broiler, egg and sausage.
The year 2007 was marked for the enterprise by the fact that it was included in the 50 best enterprises in Russia in terms of efficiency "AGRO-300". The complex was also included in the list of poultry farms in Russia for the largest production of poultry meat.
As for the egg sector, the plant produces many types of products: "Rustic", "Vitamin", "Sunny Day", "Iodized" and others. It was the name of the egg "Derevenskoye" in the same 2007 that received the honorary title - "100 Best Goods of Russia".
The factory spent a lot of money to produce broiler chickens. In order to maintain modern product standards, the workshop was equipped with German Farmer Automation devices. The plant not only processes broilers, but also prepares semi-finished products that directly end up on supermarket shelves.
Magnitogorsk plant is one of the few that have launched a sausage shop. June 1, 2006 is a very important date for the plant. On this day, the production of new products was launched. The main ingredients are poultry, beef and pork.
Yaroslavsky Broiler
80% of meat supplypoultry in the region is carried out by this enterprise. Undoubtedly, it is included in the list of poultry farms in Russia due to the largest turnover. Founded in 1982, the Yaroslavl Poultry Plant produces about 30,000 tons of broiler chickens per year. Like the Okskaya Poultry Farm, this is a closed cycle enterprise. It includes the following workshops: fodder preparation, incubation workshop, chicken rearing workshop, slaughter and processing workshop, as well as transport service. The joint stock company has its own registered supermarkets and shops.
During 2006-2011, the enterprise was repeatedly awarded with honorary medals and diplomas. At the annual agricultural exhibition "Golden Autumn" and the forum "Meat Industry" it received seven gold, six silver and one bronze medals.
Northern poultry farm
This enterprise has Russian-Dutch roots, as part of the company's shares belongs to the owner from the Netherlands. This is Russia's largest poultry farm in the Northwest.
In 1997, an unknown person named Geisbertus van den Brink bought out a poultry plant that was already on the verge of bankruptcy. In addition, the Agro-Invest Brinki holding owns Voiskovitsy and Lomonosovskaya poultry plants.
In 2014, the company was recognized as one of the largest poultry producers at the moment. In 2015, the Northern Factory got a new owner - the Thai agricultural holding Charun Pukphand Foods.
2007 broiler productivity figureamounted to 80 thousand tons. The record for poultry meat production was set in 2014, when the figure was announced at 171,000 tons of broilers. At that time, this amounted to 5% of the total poultry production in Russia.
Sinyavinsky poultry plant
This factory originates in 1978, and its origins come from the Leningrad region. This enterprise provides a third of the poultry market in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region as a whole. The General Director is Kholdoenko Artur Mikhailovich.
One of the largest egg production companies in Europe. An incredible amount - approximately 600 million a year - is produced at this facility.
The plant consists of three parts: the Sinyavinskaya poultry farm itself, the breeding reproducer Naziia and the Volkhov feed mill.
After the reconstruction and modernization of the factory, which lasted from 2006 to 2014, the daily turnover of goods increased to 3.5 million eggs. This year, the factory plans to set a world record and pass the mark of 1.5 billion eggs per year.
In the near future - the construction of four more sectors, the reconstruction of the slaughter and auto-tractor shops.
This was a list of currently functioning and largest poultry farms in Russia. It is easy to see that every year the food industry in the country is growing, and the mass consumption of food is growing. Poultry meat has always been and will always be popular, regardless of time and place.
