The forestry industry, like any other, has its own characteristics. In particular, for the full performance of work related to the loading, unloading and transportation of wood, the availability of special equipment adapted to these operations is required. One of these universal machines is the TT-4M skidder, the features of which will be discussed in this article.

Destination

This unit is a truly unique and high-quality product of Soviet engineering, which belongs to the fourth class. The main purpose of the TT-4M is to transport large and medium-sized wood to a warehouse from a forest belt, as well as loading it onto platforms or trains in the form of large packages.

The tractor was produced in Altai. This car went into the series in 1969, already far from us. The rather popular TDT-75 tractor served as the basis for the machine. At the same time, an upgrade was carried out, which allowed the use of newer parts, which significantly increased productivity.

TT-4M, the technical characteristics of which are given below, is unified with another tractor - T-4A, which, in turn, is used in agricultureau pair.

Constructive elements

TT-4M is equipped with a double cabin with seats located to the left of the engine. At the same time, the tractor driver feels quite comfortable at the workplace, since the cab has doors and windows that open wide open, and can also be heated. In addition, glass cleaners and a fan are available. The driver's seat, equipped with hydraulic shock absorbers, is quite easy to adjust in a horizontal plane. The cabin has a place for a container with drinking water and a first aid kit. Sun visor available. Deserves special attentionwell-thought-out lighting system that allows the tractor to work even at night.

The engine of the machine, in addition to impressive power, also has optimal capabilities for working even in harsh climatic conditions, and therefore tractors are often used in the northern regions of Russia and Siberia.

The bottom of the car has also been improved and has undergone a protective layer. This innovation made it possible to protect individual parts and components of the tractor from extremely negative abrasive and mechanical wear.

TT-4M was equipped with a loading shield and a double-sided winch with a pulling force of 122.3 kN. The well-thought-out arrangement makes it possible to most conveniently carry out skidding of wood, as well as its loading. The maximum allowable load on the shield should not exceed six tons.

On the front wall of the tractor cab there is a panel equipped with instruments for performing the required list of operations and quality control over the movement of the machine itself. Mechanisms are available nearby to allow the operator to operate the radiator shutters. At the rear of the cab is a lever that activates the working winch drum if necessary.

Specifications

Unlike its predecessors, the TT-4M received some reinforcement of the loading units and frame. For example, the load projected onto the shield did not put pressure on the transmission and other connecting parts due to the presence of sufficiently powerful rear supports. For fixing specialized equipment crankcasesgearboxes located on the frame were equipped with special accessories. If necessary, you can attach a rooter, rear hitch, pusher, bulldozer, drilling rig, ripper to the tractor.

The tractor's transmission was designed to provide four reverse and eight forward speeds.

A few words about the cost of the machine and spare parts

TT-4M spare parts are by no means cheap. This is largely due to the fact that the machine has a very impressive own dimensions and power. It is worth saying that just replacing the motor may well cost 400-600 thousand Russian rubles. The very same tractor, produced in the period before 2000, will cost about 07 - 1.1 million rubles. The new model has a cost of almost 2.5 million rubles.
