Pervouralsk Novotrubny Plant began its life journey back in the time of Peter the Great. In 1732, by decree of Tsar Demidov, he founded the Vasilyevo-Shaitansky ironworks. He made cast iron as well as flash iron.

Factory History

Like everyone else, the nineties were difficult for the company. But the plant was able to overcome difficulties with honor, and in 1992 it was already an open joint-stock company.

OJSC Pervouralsk Novotrubny Plant in 1998 produced 442 thousand tons of pipes. But in 2000, he increased output by 34 percent, and three years later - already by 55 percent. After such high performance, the enterprise became the fourth in the country in the production of pipes.

Factory Museum

JSC PNTZ "Pervouralsk Novotrubny Plant" has its own museum in its native Pervouralsk. Moreover, the museum is very rich and interesting. In fact, it has become a kind of center of the entire historical heritage of the city, because here the fate of many generations of people is connected with the plant. The museum consists of several halls with an exposition on the history of the plant and an exhibition complex. The entire area of the museum premises is more than a thousand square meters.

The museum is very modern in its structure and presentation of material, it shows absolutely all stages of the plant's development, and in a fascinating way. At the moment, the museum has more than ten thousand different historical exhibits of the main fund. There is a museum and a science fund.

In 2009, a center for the processing of pipes for oil purposes was launched, and in 2010, an electric steel-smelting shop was launched. This further strengthened the company's position. Now the company carefully monitors all the latest developments, because it can afford to produce products that satisfy the demand of the most demanding customer.

Anniversary

The very first pipes in the amount of 64 pieces were stretched in 1934, it was May 13 in the drawing shop. This date is considered the birth of the plant. He celebrated his 80th birthday this year.

PervouralskyNovotrubny Zavod started celebrating its anniversary at the monument to director Fyodor Danilov, whom all plant workers unanimously consider legendary and almost great. All representatives of production shops, as well as honored veterans, cheerful students came to the rally.

After the rally, everyone went together to the museum, where they prepared a special anniversary exhibition.

Looking to tomorrow

Today, the Pervouralsk Novotrubny Plant is no longer that timid manufacturer who counts pennies in order to pay workers a salary. The plant has its own waterworks and treatment plant, a giant railway junction with a siding that runs through the city to the plant. The plant allows itself to maintain a palace of culture, a large recreation camp for children and another one for adults. The plant even has a water sports palace. Every fifth inhabitant of Pervouralsk works at the plant.

The electric steelmaking complex launched in 2010 is called "Iron Ozone 32". In fact, almost the largest investment project in our metallurgy will allow Pervouralsk to produce seamless pipes that meet absolutely all standards and strict requirements.
