EKG Productive Excavators are mining tracked vehicles used in the development and loading of minerals, rocks and mine workings. Also, the machine is operated during loading operations at transshipment bases and warehouses, and participates in cyclic production. The units are produced taking into account the peculiarities of climatic regions, they have mechanisms in the form of complete technological blocks, which makes it possible to repair equipment in an aggregate way.

Device and main mechanisms

EKG excavators are equipped with a body, a swivel frame, an arrow, a mining bucket of various sizes and tracks. In addition, a lower frame and a two-level rack are provided. The mining machine is made of high-strength steel, working in various climatic conditions.

The main elements of the working bucket include the front and rear wall, bottom, side elements and rocker. The body interacts with the rest of the working parts through special fingers. The steel handle passes through the provided connecting parts into the boom, which is equipped with pressure blocks and a winch mechanism. On the turntable mounted not onlyboom, but also the dynamics unit, electrical circuit, body parts and racks. The operator's cab completes the exterior of the machine.

Features

Below are the parameters of the technical plan that ECG excavators have:

• length/width/height of bucket - 2450/2190/2560 mm with a mass of 9.9 tons;
• similar parameters of the turntable - 8100/5000/1200 mm with a weight of 18.9 tons;
• bucket volume is 5.2 cubic meters;
• height and digging radius – 10.3/14.5 meters;
• working weight - 196 tons;
• dimensions of the lower frame weighing 10.5 tons - 3000/3000/1680 mm;
• similar to the track frame weighing 5.4 tons - 5500/750/1000 mm.

The driver's cabin weighs 1.1 tons, its length is 2.36 meters, and its width and height are 1.35 and 2.76 meters, respectively.

The brake unit of the pressure and rotary mechanisms, as well as the winch, functions due to the compressed air flow from the compressor. The undercarriage is equipped with a hydraulic system that adjusts the operation of the clutch shift of the tracks and travel brakes.

Power plant

The EKG mining excavator is equipped with push, lift, swivel and travel mechanisms. The opening of the bucket is carried out by means of power supply from DC motors. Other auxiliary elements are powered by variable type motors. The main nodes receive energy through conversion generators and step-down transformers.

Modifications of the excavator EKG 5A

Besides ECG model 5A, there are several similar variations, differing in insignificant indicators:

1. Modification 5V has a power plant with a capacity of two hundred and fifty kilowatts. Able to work on the rock without prior preparation, equipped with a specific bucket with hammers instead of traditional teeth.
2. Version 5D is a mining crawler excavator, the parameters of which are similar to the previous model. It differs only in the presence of a combined diesel engine and an electric motor. He is capable of loading dump trucks on his own.
3. 5U - powerful maneuverable equipment capable of passing trenches, processing ledges, and performing loading operations. The excavator is equipped with a comfortable working cabin with excellent visibility and informative controls.
4. Model EKG-4, 6 A. The first machines of this category were produced at Uralmash. They have been successful so farfunction, equipped with a 5.2 cubic meter bucket and a 250 kW motor.

Excavator EKG-10

Among the design features of the equipment of this series, the following points should be highlighted:

EKG excavators are equipped with a two-track undercarriage with a separate drive for each track. The mass of this huge equipment is 373 tons. The machine is capable of climbing over ten degrees, maintaining all operating parameters.

Modernized version of this series is an excavator under the symbol EKG-8-US. It is equipped with a longer boom, works on benches and at high heights, and is also adapted for loading products onto dump trucks and rail cars. The machine has a bucket capacity of 10 cubic meters. m, can lift loads weighing up to 110 tons. The unit is reliable, stable and has good maneuverability.
