For this, the train is equipped with a special boiler that runs on solid fuel. If the temperature drops below the allowable limit, then the conductor must add coal.

As can be seen from all of the above, it becomes clear that this is not such a simple profession as it seems at first glance. If you add a fairly tight work schedule and the need to do it at night, then not everyone can do it.
