It is worth noting that military service is included in the length of service. From the amount received over two years, you need to find the average by dividing our result by 730 days. In addition, the legislation explains how sick pay is calculated for workers with different lengths of service. For example, if the work experience is small (up to five years), then 60% of the average earnings for a period of two years are charged. Accordingly, experiencefrom five to eight years guarantees 80% of the average salary, and more than eight years of experience obliges to pay sick leave in the amount of one hundred percent of the salary.

The maximum period during which an employee has the right to be absent due to disability should not exceed 15 days. Further stay in medical institutions is based on the conclusion of the commission organized by the head physician. However, if the total length of stay on sick leave exceeds 4 months per year, a medical examination is required. After receiving the certificate, it must be submitted to the accountant of the enterprise within six months, otherwise payments will not be accrued. In some cases, the Social Security Department pays the benefit on its own, but only after considering the cause.
