Nevertheless, you can create a much-needed thing in the household with your own hands. Knowing how to make a candle at home, anyone who wishes will not only save money, but also get a lot of pleasure from the manufacturing process and the result. You do not need to have any special education or take a design course to do this.

Having once made an unusual and fragrant candle, some people turn this activity into a real hobby. Making candles at home is a simple process, everyone can do it. If you have the necessary materials, you can create a unique and original thing. To do this, it is enough to have:

• the most common store-bought stearin candle or a few wax stubs;
• capacity in which paraffin will melt;
• wick borrowed from a whole candle or specially woven from ordinary threads;
• form from which you can take out the resulting work of art or leave a candle in it;
• wax crayons or food coloring are used to give a certain color;
• if desired, you can add various flavors (for example, essential oils or orange and tangerine peels).

A hand-made candle can be not only monochromatic in color, it can have several matching multi-colored layers. Sometimes, as an original filler, craftsmen add shells to the candle, decorate it with sea or glass pebbles, fresh flowers or beads and sparkles. Such a candle can rightfully be called a work of art.

How to make a candle at home?The manufacturing technology is very simple:

• wax is crumbled into the prepared container and placed in a water bath, while the melting mass is periodically stirred;
• flavouring and coloring matter are added to the melted wax - crushed wax crayon or food coloring;
• in the center of the selected form, the inner walls of which are pre-lubricated with vegetable oil, using any stick or toothpick, the wick is fixed and poured with the melted mixture;

• the filled form is removed in a cold place until completely hardened.

  The candle is ready! Now you can admire it by placing it in the interior of the room, or get real pleasure by lighting it at a romantic dinner.
