Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant (OJSC, to be precise, now CJSC) is one of the leading enterprises in the Urals. It is a major center for the production of galvanized polymerized sheet metal and products from it. Many bodies of domestic cars are made of Lysvensky rolled metal.

Historical background

Perm Territory is one of the oldest Russian centers of metallurgy. Abundant reserves of metals, full-flowing rivers, and the presence of large tracts of forest favored the development of mining. In 1875, Prince Shukhovskaya founded an iron foundry in the valley of the Lysva River. The construction boom of the early 2000s prompted the development of new promising products - profiled metal sheets with a protective polymer coating. Subsequently, the profile factory of enamelware entered the company. In 2013, the united Lysva Metallurgical Company was formed.

Main Specialization

Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant produces thin sheets of electrolytically galvanized cold-rolled steel for the automotive industry. In particular, vehicle bodies are made from it. Galvanizing protects against corrosion, in addition, such polymer-coated rolled products are widely used in household products, household appliances, construction, machine, ship and instrument making.

Part of the polymerized rolled products, having been processed on roll forming machines, becomes a finished product - metal profile sheets. Fences, roofing are made from corrugated board,easy-to-build residential buildings.

From roof to stew

Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant produces demanded products. Its sheet metal protects the roof of the London Parliament, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, and tens of thousands of houses of ordinary Russians from leaking.

Being a powerful branched structure, the plant is 100% self-sufficient in electricity. The city of Lysva also receives excess heat energy from the enterprise. For the first time in Russia, LMZ introduced a heat metering system at the enterprise and municipal facilities.
