How it works

Accreditation of doctors with secondary and higher education in the field of pharmaceuticals and medicine is a procedure that determines the level of their professionalism. The state reform, which came into force in 2016, is aimed at consistently improving services in this area and modernizing the entire system in general.

This procedure is carried out after the end of educational programs, and then once every 5 years. The order of passing is determined by the national, expert-methodical and district centers, which pursue the following goals:

• formation of the personnel structure of the he alth care system, which can provide quality medical services;
• getting the right information about the level of competence of he alth workers.

Accreditation of doctors, whose tasks are very multifaceted, evaluates not only professional knowledge, but also the presence of a portfolio, their competence in a special simulation and certification center.

1. Primary - carried out directly by the educational system itself, after a person has completed residency and a full cycle of professional training.
2. Competence-based - passed after obtaining a new qualification.
3. Periodic - introduced from 2021 after the specialist completes the curriculum of auxiliary vocational education.

The system of accreditation of doctors includes several forms of knowledge assessment:

• testing (an individual list of questions is prepared according to a single database);

Who should pass?

The first to be included in this process are university graduates. Those of them who did not get into the residency or did not pass the entrance examinations can start working in the initial link as a district therapist. But for this purpose, specialists should have primary accreditation of doctors in their hands.

Residency graduates know how to pass it, because they are meant for more serious tests, namely specialized exams that they need to pass in order to gain access to more serious work and be able to call themselves a specialist.

After the expiration of the certificate, all doctors who operate in private or public medical institutions must undergo such a check once every 5 years. Who reviews?

Documents

Registration of doctors for accreditation must follow all the rules. To do this, a graduate or specialist personally submits a set of copies of documents for permission.

1. Primary:

• application for admission;
• identity card;
• documents confirming higher or secondary vocational education, information on qualifications and an extract from the act of the meeting of the state examination commission.
• certificate of mandatory pension insurance.

2. Periodic:

• application for admission to accreditation;
• identity card;
• portfolio for the last 5 years, which will visually present the professional activities of the person being accredited: it includes information about individual achievements, information about mastering the advanced training program;
• specialist certificate or certificate of accreditation;
• documents on higher or secondary vocational education, as well as an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the national commission from the exam;
• work book;
• certificate of mandatory pension insurance.

Every future doctor knows how to pass the accreditation of doctors, but he must certainly understand that within 10 calendar days from the date of submission and registration of documents, the commission meets to decide on the admission of the accredited person and on the timing of the exam.
