Stages of formation

The prehistory of the appearance of the radio plant in Kyshtym is invisibly connected with two previous events: the transformation of the industrialist Demidov and a man-made accident in the neighboring city of Ozersk, onplant "Mayak", in 1957. The first fact gave rise to successful entrepreneurship, the second - to creative construction. Expanding vigorous activity immediately after the disaster, the new radio plant gave people faith in the future.

The first factory chimney took to the skies in the summer of 1958. One of the new buildings was put into operation the following year. The director of the enterprise, N. V. Dubrovin, immediately followed everything: the construction of buildings, the laying of an ingenious water supply system, and the organization of production. Plastering of the premises and work on the first order had to be combined. The first five "Compasses" - radio direction finders for airfields were published in the spring of 1960. Since then, April 4 has become the official birthday of the plant.

One by one, production facilities were handed over: main and auxiliary workshops, departments, laboratories, design bureau - there was a lot of work ahead…

Where did the "Bees" come from

With the opening of new workshops at the radio plant in Kyshtym, the number of defense orders has increased. The production of radio consumer goods has also been adjusted. So, in the 60s and 70s appeared:

• Products 258 - radar devices for the Tu-28, designed to guide missiles (1963).
• "Bees" - devices with small dimensions. They were installed on board target drones, served for control from the ground (at the beginning of the 21st century, the Bee drone appeared).
• Memory blocks for MiGs. More than a thousand of the thinnesthairs.
• “Passwords” are aircraft recognition systems with fourteen printed circuit boards.
• Radios "Rest" and "Brigantine".
• Legendary Quartz receiver (former Falcon).

On the "quartz" wave

In the mid-1970s, together with the new thirty-five-year-old director M. L. Anisimov, an interesting order came to the plant, literally shaking the team with its unusualness. It turns out that the young innovator specially procured a new idea in order to captivate the factory workers. ASDT is a product of complex temperature control of gyroscopes related to ballistic missiles installed on a submarine. The main interest among people was caused by the marine theme. The irrepressible strict "captain" took a steady course towards the social well-being of the factory workers. With the involvement of labor and in many respects material factory resources, the following were built and reconstructed:

• dining room with nine hundred seats;
• Kyshtym Radio Mechanical College;
• Club "Builder", bringing together creative teams and youth;
• DK Pobeda;
• residential area of the radio factory;
• TV tower (161 m): on the initiative of the radio factory workers, all enterprises united.

Through hardships to the stars

The perestroika crisis did not spare anyone. It rapidly rushed across the country, breaking the strong economy of enterprises, crushing the hopes and well-being of the people. What was a leader to do, from whom subordinates expected even the slightest help?It was necessary to act. Such responsibility fell at that time on the shoulders of Viktor Alekseevich Markin. The new director, by hook or by crook, with bold decisions and deeds, defended the plant and people in the difficult 90s. He is still the director of the Kyshtym radio factory.

Stability began to return in 2007. The plant began to receive orders for instruments for the space industry, navigation equipment, optical instruments accompanying the landing of aircraft, as well as systems responsible for the telemetry of missile systems. The production of household receivers, intercoms, radio stations, selectors for channel TV, chargers and blocks for wheelchairs has resumed.

How does the plant live today

The plant assembles equipment for the military industry. The main customer is the Ministry of the Russian Federation. OJSC "Radiozavod Kyshtyma" manufactures products for the navy, aviation and other subjects of strategic importance. For many years, it has been producing sophisticated equipment "Pirce" - an electronic on-board system for determining the location of ships during navigation.

Part of the production is automated, but some machines are not trusted. Complicated chips are assembled by hand. The plant does not lose the high bar in the radio electronics market, monitors the high quality of products and timely delivery of products to the customer.

Much is being done for the social and material well-being of employees. The following measures are provided:
