Now it's time to talk about the institution that represents the subject of our study. How did this institution come into existence?

This happened in 1996, when a small non-governmental center was created in Moscow by the efforts of several enthusiasts, lovers of their craft, which made it possible to train stylists and make-up artists privately, "in express mode". However, one should not think that we are talking about some kind of "sharashka office": from the first days of its existence, the aforementioned hairdressing schoolhad all the necessary licenses to operate. Training at the center was built (and continues to do so to this day) according to the international Pivot Point methodology. We will briefly discuss this technique below.

Pivot Point - what is it?

So what is Pivot Point training? This technology, based not on the inspiration and improvisation of the master, but on geometric calculations, was developed at the beginning of the 60s of the last century in the United States of America by a professional hairdresser and world champion in this type of art (yes, apparently, there are competitions of this kind).

The term pivot point, which translates as "starting point", the master borrowed from mathematics. Working as a hairdresser and, obviously, being sincerely in love with his work, this man dreamed of achieving the perfect result in a hairstyle and haircut every time, which would not depend on such changeable factors as the presence or absence of inspiration and mood of the stylist. To this end, he turned to the exact science - geometry, borrowing from there not only the above term, but also a clear sequence of actions based on a preliminary design calculation.

The creation of such a technique and its successful application allowed this master to later become the best hairdresser in the world, a champion. And his technique instantly became incredibly popular and scattered around the planet. She is especially famous among perfectionists. In Russia, haircuts using the pivot point technique are less known than inEurope and the States, but in our country this technique is gradually being introduced into life, as, for example, at the hairdressing school "Method" in Moscow. In general, there are about 30 centers in our country where this technology is taught (there are approximately three thousand in the world).

Today, pivot point is a technology based on the concepts of an American master of the 60s, his name is Leo Passage, and supplemented by other joint developments of both hairdressers and artists, as well as educators and scientists.

The above technique basically has the following things:

Formed, as already mentioned, in 1996 (that is, more than twenty years ago), the center"Method" at first was not "Method" at all, but was called similarly to the technique used, that is, Pivot Point. The current name appeared at the hairdressing center in 2003.
