Personal tragedy

And it happened afterafter how Konstantin Khabensky experienced personal grief - his wife died of oncology, who shortly before the development of the disease gave birth to his child.

The actor did his best to help his wife get out: he sent her to expensive clinics, spending all his fees on treatment. He sold his home, got into a debt hole, and all this in order to save his wife. However, even treatment at the Los Angeles Medical Center did not help to overcome cancer, and in 2008 Anastasia Khabenskaya passed away … Today, the actor lives in an ordinary apartment and donates almost all his earnings to charity.

How did it all start?

One day, Kostantin received a call from a medical center specializing in the treatment of people suffering from leukemia. The woman on the other end of the wire begged to help her grief: her son did not have enough 200,000 rubles for the operation. Doctors gave her the actor's phone number. And Khabensky immediately responded to grief and brought the missing amount. The boy was operated on time.

After this incident, the actor continued to engage in charitable activities: the phone just gets hot from calls. It is noteworthy that Konstantin not only gives money for treatment, but also negotiates with doctors to receive patients from the most remote regions of our country. Many can not afford not only the operation in the capital, but also the purchase of round-trip tickets.

Creation of a charitable structure

In 2008, the actor decides to create the Konstantin Khabensky Foundation. Initially, his staff consisted of two people: the founder himself and his assistant. The actor had a hard time: he constantly thought about how to solve the financial issue, went to appointments with officials, knocked on doctors' offices … The Konstantin Khabensky Foundation at the beginning of its activity provided targeted assistance, and its organizer did not advertise his activities. Only after some time the actor decided to present his project to the general public.

The debut action of the offspring of Khabensky took place in the capital's Gorky Park on the day of the Maslenitsa celebration. The actor called his friends along with the children to skate in the park. There were more than enough people who wanted to: Konstantin's colleagues came to support him: Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Chulpan Khamatova, Alexey Kravchenko.

And the famous figure skater Irina Slutskaya willingly agreed to teach everyone, including Khabensky, a few lessons. In general, everyone had fun with great pleasure and got a big positive charge. This holiday was remembered by all the guests. The charity event brought its organizer more than 600 thousand rubles.

These funds were transferred to the Konstantin Khabensky Charitable Foundation for the treatment of cancer patients.

Who finances the fund?

Over the years of its existence, the above organization has saved the lives of more than a dozen children. Mostinvestments in the Konstantin Khabensky Assistance Fund, which is 16 million rubles, were made by the actor himself, as well as his stage colleagues, friends and private companies.

The founder of the charitable structure stressed that in the future the amount of monetary assets will increase, but for this he needs to move to another level in his work, and he is almost ready for this.

He once told reporters about this at a press conference, which was organized in one of the Moscow cinemas.

How the money is distributed

Khabensky Konstantin Yurievich, whose charitable foundation helps children with oncology, provides financial support to some medical institutions that specialize in diagnosing cancer and treating brain ailments.

Money for patients is not transferred to their personal deposit, but is addressed directly to the institution where they receive medical care. In some cases, financial assets are allocated for the treatment of children abroad.

Unfortunately, parents do not always turn to the charity on time, so not everyone can help.
