The construction of the corvette "Perfect" lasted for many years, so its launch became one of the most grandiose events in the modern history of the Russian Navy. The new ship is equipped with guided missiles and has a number of unique technical characteristics. In the coming decades, she will serve as part of the Pacific Fleet as a patrol vessel.
Project
Corvette "Perfect" refers to a group of ships of the same type, designed for combat operations near the coast of the country. The task of these ships is to fight against enemy submarines, support landing operations by delivering rocket and artillery strikes, as well as patrolling the territorial waters of the state.
As part of this project, five ships have been built to date. Corvettes of a new type should become the main force of the Navy in the near operational zone (200-500 miles from the native coast). It is planned to bring the total number of such multi-purpose ships to twenty.
Construction
The Corvette "Perfect" was laid down in 2006 at the shipyard of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant. The implementation of the project was delayed due to financial problems of the enterprise. Failure to fulfill obligations to creditors was the reason for the introduction of external management at the plant. Despite support from the state, the company was unable to pay its multi-billion dollar debt and initiated bankruptcy proceedings.
The situation has changed dramatically after the direct intervention of the Prosecutor General's Office. The measures taken yielded results within one year. The bankruptcy procedure was terminated by the court due to the conclusion of a settlement agreement with creditors. The financial affairs of the shipyard went uphill, and this made it possible to remove external management. Work on the order, intended for the needs of the Pacific Fleet, after repeated extensions of the deadline, approached the final. The corvette "Perfect" was brought from the construction shop to the floating dock in 2015.
Tests
The State Commission assessed the general condition and capabilities of the warship. The specially trained crew of the vessel, together with the company's experts, checked the armament of the corvette, as well as the operation of navigation and radio systems. Sea trials were carried out to evaluate the ship's speed and maneuverability. State inspections of the ship's components and assemblies on the high seas ended with the signing of an order acceptance certificate.
Launching of the corvette "Perfect" was held in a solemnenvironment. The Andreevsky flag was raised on the ship. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Pacific Fleet, members of the regional government and employees of the shipyard. During the ceremonial launching of the Perfect corvette, statements were made that the quality characteristics of the ship were highly appreciated by specialists from the Ministry of Defense.
Description
The new vessels, designed to carry out patrol service as part of the Pacific Fleet, are distinguished by the multifunctionality and automation of all systems, as well as the hull made in accordance with the "ste alth" technology and the presence of means of creating radio-electronic interference, which allows them to remain invisible to the enemy. Like any ship built under this project, the Perfect corvette is based on a modular principle, which facilitates the modernization process. Replacing obsolete equipment, electronics and weapons does not require large production and financial costs.
Features
The displacement of corvette "Perfect" is 2220 tons, maximum speed - 27 knots (50 km/h), cruising range - up to 4000 miles, autonomy - up to 15 days. The case design has a number of fundamental differences from traditional models.
Configuration features reduce water resistance, thereby reducing fuel consumption. This advantage allows the use of relatively morelight main power plant. This, in turn, increases the carrying capacity and creates the possibility of placing additional weapons.
The superstructure is made of refractory materials. Its design reduces the likelihood of the ship being detected by enemy tracking devices. Armaments
The ship's firepower is provided by artillery mounts, as well as anti-aircraft and anti-ship missile systems. The armament of the Perfect corvette includes detection and targeting systems. In addition, the vessel is equipped with means to combat enemy submarines. The most formidable weapon designed to strike at enemy ships is the Uran missile system, which has a range of 130 kilometers. The launch is made from installations located in the middle part of the body. The main means of air defense is the Kortik-M anti-aircraft complex, the frightening images of which are often present in the photo of the Perfect corvette. The 30 mm caliber artillery mounts located at the stern are also intended to destroy enemy aircraft.
The Paket-NK defense system is designed to intercept torpedoes and strike at enemy submarines. It consists of two 4-pipe apparatus placed on the sides. A corvette-based helicopter is used to detect enemy submarines. Barrel artillery is represented by the A-190 universal mount, which is distinguished by its high speed and firing range. It is capable of hitting targets both on water and in the air.
Protection
The designers of the corvette paid special attention to electronic warfare. The survival of the vessel during the course of hostilities largely depends on the effectiveness of the suppression of enemy detection and target designation systems. In addition to the "Courageous" complexes designed to create interference, a body made of materials with a high level of radio absorption serves to solve this problem. These design features reduce the likelihood of targeting cruise missiles and detection by enemy radars by several times.
The corvette is equipped with radar and hydroacoustic stations. They are used both for ship navigation and as means of early warning and target designation. The designers have done everything possible to give the corvette the best chance of survival and victory.
