This operation is performed in several stages:

• a large barrel is washed with clean water;
• litter is laid on its bottom with a layer of 20 cm;

• manure is being filled again.

One more way

Quail manure, like chicken manure, can be composted not only in barrels, but also in trenches. In this case, the mass is usually simply mixed with a small amount of earth. Next, the trench is covered with something from above and left like this until next year. You can use humus prepared in this way in the same way as processed in a barrel.

How to make liquid feed

Quail manure compost is a very good fertilizer. But the process of its preparation usually takes a lot of time. Therefore, gardeners often use another type of top dressing made from such litter - liquid. The technology for preparing such a fertilizer is as follows:

• clean barrel half full of litter;
• water is poured from top to the brim;
• everything is properly mixed with a stick;
• the barrel is covered with a lid.

In this form, quail droppings should be kept in a barrel for about a week. Before being applied to the soil, the fertilizer prepared in this way is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:20.

Quails in their suburban areas are not kept by all summer residents. However, it is not worth refusing such effective feeding in the absence of this variety of poultry in the courtyard. You can buy quail droppings in a specialized store. This type of feeding is relatively inexpensive. There are no less useful substances in industrially prepared quail manure than in "homemade".

This type of manure is processed at enterprises according to special methods - by drying under the influence of very high temperatures. At the same time, all useful substances are completely preserved. On plants, such manure, since it is processed under the conditions of bacterial fermentation, usually has an even more pronounced beneficial effect than "homemade".

How to use quail manure for indoor plants

Lovers of indoor flowers often use compositions intended for fertilizing garden ornamental crops as a top dressing for them. For example, cow dung is sometimes added to plant pots.
