From an early age, a person knows what management is. First we are confronted with the control, for example, of a children's bicycle, then with a car, then with the control of equipment, and so on, incrementally. It is found in all areas of human life.

Leadership styles in management are a way (or a combination of them) of interaction between a manager and subordinates. Relationships with staff directly affect the efficiency and productivity of the entire company.

As in any other area, research is being carried out in the field of manager-subordinate relationships, thanks to which three main directions have been identified that determine the styles of managing an organization.

The directive style is defined as dominant. The leader strives to be aware of everything that is happening and demands to report about it to him. With such management, all decisions are made solely by the head. Relations with the team are completely absent, and management methods are orders, reprimands, comments, deprivation of bonuses. The directive style completely deprives the staff of the possibility of initiative, whichaffects his fighting spirit and morale. As a rule, in companies with such a leader, there is a high turnover of personnel, work is carried out on the principle of "no one is indispensable."

Democratic management style implies the division of powers between the manager and his deputy. The manager always listens to the staff and their point of view. With such management, decisions are made collectively, which allows employees to feel that the leader is in the same team with them, they pursue the same goals. If we consider all leadership styles in management, then the democratic one has more success. In such a company, communication with the staff takes place in a friendly manner, using the method of requests, recommendations, wishes, and advice. For employees, the leader is an authority that will always help, which is an important factor for creating a favorable moral and psychological mood. A team with a democratic management style is reliable and works as one.

In the list of leadership styles in management, the liberal style is next. The leader does not fulfill his true purpose - to manage. He, as a rule, waits for instructions from superiors or is influenced by subordinates. All the work lies with subordinates, while the leader prefers to avoid questions and relieve himself of all responsibility. The work of employees is little controlled, which can lead to disastrous results.

It would seemThe considered leadership styles in management are different, and the most practical of them is democratic. Maybe this is so, directive is more suitable for people who have a small staff of workers under their supervision. Liberal style can be found in creative workshops or studios. Creative people are more independent and do not require constant supervision.

Hence you can't say that one style is bad and the other is good. It all depends on the specific situation, on the type of activity of the company, on the personal qualities of the leader, on the basis of which leadership styles are formed. Management does not imply a specific management style for a particular company and is not limited to it. Often there is a combination of all three styles, which in itself is an effective solution in a particular situation.
