Elite breeding young animals were purchased from France Hybrid to improve the quality of meat (reducing the content of fat on carcasses) and livestock productivity indicators. In total, 670 heads of pigs were transported to Siberia. Foreign partners gave detailed recommendations on animal care.

System-forming workshops of the enterprise

Highly qualified personnel work on foreign-made equipment. The latest conveyor line can slaughter over 500 pigs every day.

There are two veterinarians in the workshop who check the documentation, examine the carcasses and give a conclusion on the suitability of the meat for sale. One of them is an employee of the company, and the second is invited from the state veterinaryservices. The meat is processed right there at the enterprise in the sausage shop. The production is equipped with three machines for the production of meat mass. Specialists comply with all sanitary standards for the food industry and draw up a passport for each batch of minced meat. As part of production control, each variety from the assortment list is tested in the laboratory for compliance with the declared composition and manufacturing technology. Sales volumes and product quality

The company sells more than 50 tons of finished products daily. Only 10% goes to shopping centers, the rest is sold through an extensive network of branded stores. Smoked meats and sausages are the most popular in the region, and the demand for semi-finished products is also growing. Every day, more than 35 tons of meat products from chilled pork are produced in the sausage shop of the enterprise. Pork chops, semi-finished products, cutlets, various sausages and fresh pork, the price of which is quite affordable, are almost in great demand in the cities of the Irkutsk region.

The recipe does not use soy fillers, but beef is added to some sausages. Meat of cows is purchased from the inhabitants of the region, while the obligatory condition for the purchase is the presence of a veterinary certificate from the seller. Spices for delicacies are supplied by European manufacturers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Sausage casings are purchased directly from Moscow manufacturers, as well as in the Leningrad and Sverdlovsk regions.

The agricultural enterprise has achieved high levels of labor productivity of workers. There are more than 20 tons of processed meat products per employee of a food industry enterprise. The company's staff, according to 2014, employs 962 people. All specialists have the necessary experience and knowledge. The average age of the workforce is 39.

Specialists explain the choice of an employer with decent wages and stable work. The increase in wages for the year amounted to more than 19%. Threats to business activities

• Infectious diseases of pigs. The company is taking all available measures to prevent infection of livestock. But for a number of diseases, methods of prevention have not been developed. For example, when pigs are infected with African swine fever, the livestock will have to be completely eliminated. A special government program is needed to better protect the herd.
• General appreciation of goods and services. Pork production and production costs are strongly affected by changes in input costs: rising prices for domestic crops during periods of crop failure, higher tariffs forelectricity, an increase in the cost of transportation (including by rail), etc.

These are not the only threats to the pig industry. Russia's accession to the WTO and economic sanctions leave their mark on the work of the food industry. Experts hope that most of the emerging problems can be solved with the help of government intervention.
