Durite hose is a hose that has a puff construction: rubber and special fabric. Its structure is multi-layered, which helps in the implementation of the tasks.

What is this?

This device got its name from the Latin word durus. Translated into Russian, this means "hard" or "strong". The hose structure is framed, which allows it to maintain high flexibility combined with excellent strength. A characteristic feature of a quality product is that even when bent or twisted, the internal section will remain unchanged. It is mainly due to these qualities that the durite sleeve has become widespread in many areas of activity.

Production and brief characteristics

The production of this hose is carried out in several stages, since it itself has a puff construction. The outer as well as the inner layer are made of a material such as rubber. The material must be suitable for two parameters: thickness and density. These two layersshares another, and in some cases several, which are made of rubberized fabric. A characteristic feature of this device was that a small inclusion of dispersed minerals in one of the layers of the hose is allowed. However, there is an important condition here, which is that the size of these substances in the durite sleeve should not be more than 0.3 mm. The same indicator is also a limitation for any irregularities that occur on the inner surface of the equipment.

Sleeves are used in many areas of activity. For example, they have found wide application as a flexible pipeline in aviation, hydraulic, oil or fuel supply systems, etc. The frequent use of durite hoses has also become possible due to the fact that the temperature range of their operation is in the range from -55 to + 100 degrees Celsius. Because of such a large range, sleeves have been successfully used in the military sphere, in everyday life.

"Durite" can be translated as "multi-layered". This quite accurately describes the construction of a flexible hose manufactured according to TU 0056016-87. The main task that this equipment performs is the supply of gaseous or liquid substances in special equipment. The length of the manufactured hose according to specifications ranges from 0.5 m to 20 m.

It is important to note that the diameters of durite sleeves are very different. It is important to monitor this parameter, since depending on this indicator there will bechange and the maximum pressure that the hose can withstand. At the maximum diameter of the hose, its limit is a pressure of 13 kg / cm2.

According to its design, the device looks like this: an inner rubber layer, several (from 2 to 6) reinforcing layers and an outer rubber one. Material such as textile, steel or copper wire is used as a raw material for the manufacture and subsequent use as reinforcement for the sleeve.

Marking and manufacturing of the hose

Like any other technical product, the durite sleeve has its own marking. It should include several basic parameters of the hose, as well as its name. You can give an example of labeling a sleeve based on one of the most common models - 40U. Such a product is designed for a maximum pressure of 13 atmospheres, while its inner diameter is 10 mm. This product is produced according to TU 0056016-87. The full labeling of the goods will look like this: 40U-10-13-TU-0056016-87.

The process of making the sleeve is as follows. Calendered rubber is cut into strips, which are applied to a technological metal mandrel. Thus, the outer diameter of the mandrel will exactly match the inner diameter of the future sleeve. To fasten the strips together, their joints are coated with glue, and then rolled with a roller. After that, the inner layer is ready, and the required number of reinforcing layers begin to be laid on top of it. After laying the latter, it is necessary to lubricate it again with glue. On glueattach the last, outer, layer of rubber. After that, the finished hose is subjected to a process such as vulcanization.

Product storage

The characteristics of durite sleeves largely determine the process of product storage. In order to keep it in working order so that it does not crack, it is necessary to store the hose only in its original packaging. It is allowed to store them only in dark rooms where there is no direct sunlight. The temperature inside such a storage room must be maintained between 0 and +30 degrees Celsius.

However, there is some exception that allows you to store the product at low temperatures, but with one condition. The product, which was saved in this way, must be kept in a room with room temperature (about 20 degrees) during the day. Only then can it be used. It is also important to note that when storing at temperatures below 0 degrees, it is imperative to exclude the possibility of mechanical damage to the hose, as in this case the rubber layer will crack.

Durite sleeve: GOST 10362-76

This state document describes all the rules for the manufacture, storage and use of rubber products, which include the sleeve.

The technical requirements for the finished product stipulate that the manufacture of this device must be carried out in strict accordance with the regulatory and technical documentation (NTD), which was established andconfirmed in the correct order.

Also, these requirements set temperature conditions for different types of sleeves. Those products that are recognized as suitable for use in tropical and temperate climates must be resistant to negative temperatures, down to -50 degrees Celsius.

The type of hose that is considered suitable for use in cold climates must maintain its performance down to -60 degrees Celsius.

Tests

According to the state standard, some rules for testing have been established. Only after passing through these operations, the hose goes into operation. There are several items that must be completed.

  1. The sample to be tested must be kept in an environment with a temperature of approximately 23 degrees Celsius for at least 1 hour.
  2. To measure the length of the hose, you can use a ruler with a measurement limit of 1000 mm and a division value of 1 mm. The second device suitable for this operation is a tape measure with a measurement limit of 30 m, as well as an accuracy class of 2.

There are a few more points in the full version of the document. It is worth noting that the price of a durite sleeve ranges from 190 rubles to 1350 rubles.
