The modern organization of design work requires full computerization, caused by a global trend that covers all developed countries of the world. At the same time, the nature of the work of the surveyor and designer is radically changing, completely different requirements are presented. Simultaneously with the solution of architectural and construction tasks, a modern designer must have excellent skills in working with computer equipment, be able to navigate freely in various software, effectively and timely implement achievements in this area.
Automation of design works raises them to a new level, where rapid growth rates and design quality can be traced, most of the complex engineering problems previously considered in a simplified version are better solved. Therefore, a designer who is not fluent in working on a computer will not be able to keep up with the times and meet the requirements for quality and speed of work.

Office programs are applications of a standard nature to a computer operating system that are used in any company to organize office work. These include spreadsheets and other applications that are not tied to any of the industries of the enterprise. Basically, this type of program is used in solving issues of a private nature, as well as in the design of the project itself. In other words, office programs are the initial stage of automating the work of a designer.
Project work quite often requires the presence of certain databases, which are a collection of information organized according to certain rules. The specified type of programs is of great importance for the designer, since certain reference, archival materials and other regulatory documents can be presented in the form of a database. Its main advantage is the quick finding of the necessary information.
Design work performed using computational and graphical programs is based on the use of fairly large software systems capable of solving a wide range of engineering problems. The following multifunctional types are common among users: programs that havespecialization in solving problems of a particular industry, as well as general technical, not related to industries and suitable for performing general graphic and calculation operations.
Thus, the design work that is carried out using special software is of high quality and can be completed without failure on time.
