Historical background

"Nevinnomyssky nitrogen" has been operating since August 2, 1962. On this summer evening, the factory workers synthesized the first batch of ammonia. During August, a number of industries were launched, which formed the backbone of the enterprise. However, the construction of the giant plant began in 1954.

Following years, the capacity was constantly increasing, and the range of products was also expanding. Until the end of the 60s, the production of butyl alcohols, s altpeter, weakly concentrated nitric and sebocic acids, acetylene and other components was mastered. Important achievements were the commissioning of the urea plant and the launch of the second ammonia plant.

Since 1970, the production of complex fertilizers has begun, since 1973 - vinyl acetate. On July 3, 1976, the methanol section was launched. In the 80s, the technology for obtaining fertilizers improved - complex preparations appeared, including in liquid form.

Our time

By the beginning of the 90s, the equipment of the workshops built back in the 50s and 60s was very worn out. A number of production facilities have been decommissioned. A large-scale reconstruction of the entire production base was required. After the corporatization of Nevinnomyssky Azot and the subsequent transition to a powerful internationalEuroChem received funds for modernization.

Today, the plant remains the flagship for the production of fertilizers and a number of chemicals. The life of the one hundred thousandth city of Nevinnomyssk depends on its "he alth", since the enterprise is a city-forming enterprise. However, given the importance of products, there is no doubt that with due attention to the introduction of new technologies and environmental programs, the plant will provide Russian farmers and the chemical industry with high-quality goods for a long time to come.
