Motovilikhinskiye Zavody PJSC is one of the largest and oldest machine-building enterprises in the Urals with its own modern metallurgical base. Includes a network of subsidiaries located primarily in Perm and neighboring regions. It specializes in the field of metallurgy, weapons, mechanical engineering, supplies equipment for the oil and gas sector. Once a leading manufacturer of artillery and MLRS.
280 years of history
The company "Motovilikhinskiye zavody" without exaggeration is called legendary. Founded in 1736 by the brilliant diplomat, geographer and politician Vasily Tatishchev, it became the leading manufacturer of artillery weapons in the Russian Empire.
During the Soviet era, the glory of the enterprise only increased. If on the fields of World War I every 5th gun was from Perm, then in the Great Patriotic War already 40% of domestic guns were produced atMotovilikha factories. During the years of Soviet power, the team was awarded the highest state orders five times - not many enterprises can boast of such achievements.
Swords on plowshares
Of course, the company is known not only as a manufacturer of weapons. Initially, it was created for the smelting of metals, first copper, then iron and steel. In various years, the most famous metallurgists worked here: Vorontsov N. V., Shteinberg S. S., Petukhov G. K., Tyzhnov V. I. and others. And for the period from 1968 to 1985, 10 engineers became candidates of technical sciences.
The first Ural open-hearth furnace was erected at the plant in Perm (1876), the most powerful steam 50-ton hammer in Europe was built (1875), electric welding was developed and applied for the first time in world practice (1888). Unfortunately, today the company is facing financial difficulties that hinder the further development of production. It remains to be hoped that the new director of Motovilikha Plants, A. V. Anokhin, will be able to restore the former glory to the legendary enterprise.
Artillery is the god of war
The production of cannons in Perm was established in the second half of the 19th century. Steel cannon production was launched in 1863, and two years later, iron cannon production. By the way, in 1885, the masters of the Motovilikha Plants cast the so-called Perm Tsar Cannon - the largest (20 inches) cast iron gun. In 1871, both productions were merged. Before the revolution, the basis of production was siege weapons, naval, fortress, field artillery.
Starting from the 30s of the 20th century, weapons have been modernized and updated. Howitzers M-10, ML-20, M-30, guns A-19, M-60 were among the best in their class. By 1945, the company had delivered 48,600 guns to the army.
With the beginning of the ideological confrontation with the West, the development of artillery accelerated. The older howitzers were replaced by the more powerful M-46 and M-47. Since the 50s, the development of self-propelled and towed guns of the "flower" series began. Motovilikha Plants produced large-caliber guns for the Hyacinths (152 mm), Acacia (152 mm), and Tulip (240 mm). The 120-mm regimental artillery was not forgotten either. Since 1996, a firing structure has been developed for the fortified points of the Gorchak series.
Products
After the collapse of the USSR, JSC "Motovilikhinskiye Zavody" continued to produce artillery systems and their components. Today the company specializes in the production of:
- Reactive systems of the Smerch and Grad series.
- Self-propelled "Vienna" and "Nona-SVK".
- Mortar "Nona".
- Field guns "Msta-B", "Nona-K".
Metallurgy
JSC Motovilikhinskiye Zavody continued the glorious history of Perm metallurgists. Currently, products under the brand name "Motovilikha" are stably sold on the domestic market, and are also exported to countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
The enterprise has all types of metallurgical processing and complex technology, including:
- steel smelting inopen-hearth furnaces with the use of out-of-furnace treatment: alloying with liquid alloys; processing with synthetic slags; electroslag remelting;
- pouring steel into ingots and continuous casting machines into billets, from which sheet and long products, forgings are made.
Forging production is equipped with powerful steam-hydraulic presses (force up to 3000 tons), forging and stamping hammers, as well as a modern SPX-55 radial forging machine. The rolling mill has a 2000 plate mill, as well as 710 and 350 section mills.
Motovilikha traditionally specializes in the production of various steel castings from structural alloyed steel grades, having wide technological capabilities and equipment for this. Reliable performance of large cast parts for the mining industry is ensured by the use of high manganese steel grades. For the first time, Motovilikha has mastered the technology of manufacturing cast chains from heat-resistant steel, and the parts obtained by investment casting meet the highest quality requirements.
Oil and gas equipment
For the oil and gas sector CJSC "Motovilikhinskiye Zavody" produces the widest range of units, mechanisms, consumables. This is:
- Two-arm balancing pumping unit OM-2001 with load balancing. It is intended for individual mechanical drive to oil well sucker-rod pumps. PerDue to the use of a variable speed drive, downtime during repair and operation, as well as energy costs, are significantly reduced.
- Pumping units OM-2006, OM-2007 two-arm balancing machines with load balancing, increased consumer properties. Designed to drive oil well pumps during the operation of marginal wells. They are equipped with a variable stepless drive with high efficiency, allowing the most economical operation of marginal wells.
- Hydraulic drive. It is a lightweight, small-sized monoblock design designed for mechanized oil production with sucker-rod pumps.
- Washing unit for high-quality cleaning and washing in semi-field conditions of all types of oil contamination of the outer and inner surfaces of tubing pipes, surfaces of borehole pumps and sucker rods.
- Pumping rods for transferring motion from the drive to the borehole pump for oil production. Available in 19 and 22 mm.
Of course, this is not a complete list of products manufactured under the Motovilikha brand.
