In the world of jet passenger aircraft, the Boeing 737-400 has been and remains the most popular airliner for many years. The entire history of the passenger aircraft industry knows no other aircraft models in terms of the number of aircraft produced. The Boeing 737-400 family already has three generations of aircraft. According to the proposals of charter carriers, the model has been slightly changed.
The Boeing 737-400 is a medium-range passenger aircraft designed and manufactured by the United States. The first flight of this type of machine took place in 1988. The Boeing Company continues to develop a new generation of aircraft.
"Boeing 737-400" has been operated for commercial purposes since its release. Its length was increased by three meters, in this regard, the reconstruction of the air conditioning system followed. Thus, the Boeing 737-400 acquired distinctive features: two missed windows on each side, two additionalemergency exits to the wing on each side. The model is also distinguished by the tail heel, which can prevent the destruction of the rear fuselage when it touches the runway. "Boeing 737-400" is a variant of the aircraft with an elongated fuselage, a larger capacity. With these changes, a slightly reduced flight range was noted. This version of the Boeing 737-400 was mentioned back in 1986. The increase in takeoff weight entailed the need for structural reinforcement of the outer panels of the wing consoles and landing gear.
The Boeing 737-400 aircraft, whose cabin scheme has also undergone changes, has 170 seats (in accordance with the wishes of charter airlines) against the basic version for 146 seats. In the economy class cabin, the seats are arranged in the following order: in a row on both sides along the board of seats 3-3. The best seats in the economy cabin with this arrangement are in the first row in the middle of the liner. Their difference lies in the legroom. There are only 6 such seats in the cabin.
As a tip for tourists buying Boeing 737-400 tickets, the layout of the seating area is somewhat inconvenient. At the toilet, located exactly at the end, queues of passengers gather. The Boeing 737-400 has a maximum cruising speed of up to eight hundred kilometers per hour and a fixed run of up to one and a half kilometers. There are 2 workplaces in the cockpit.
The technical data of the airliner is really impressive. The weight of an empty aircraft is almost thirty-five tons, and the capacity of the fuel tanks is nearly twenty-four tons. The permissible payload of the aircraft is about eighteen tons.
At one time, the Boeing 737-400 airliner came to replace earlier obsolete relatives. At the same time, it was equipped with new avionics, improved interior and engines. Currently, this type of aircraft is no longer produced, mass production ended in 2000, but many airlines still operate aircraft of this brand. The flight range of the aircraft with a maximum load is about five thousand kilometers. A total of 486 Boeing 737-400 aircraft were produced, which were replaced by another model - 737-800.
