Work experience as the main value in the labor market

While in the creative search for an interesting and profitable occupation, people often (almost always) realize that in order to get a good high-paying position, you need some work experience. And yesterday's students, in order to live, have to either engage in unskilled labor, or else start their professional activities in the 2nd or 3rd year. Let such a job be low-paid (or even free), but by the end of your studies, a person will already have such precious work experience.

Some enterprises practice cooperation with specialized universities, when department heads attend undergraduate classes and invite them to their practice or vacation as interns. This event is beneficial both for the students themselves in terms of experience, and for the employer in terms of "cultivating" valuable personnel on their own.

Searching for a worthywork, a person, regardless of his age and experience, draws up a resume. It is according to this document that a decision is often made about whether such an employee is needed at the enterprise, or it is better to look for another. At the time of selection, the applicant himself is not present, so the idea of him, his abilities and qualities is compiled solely from the resume. The work experience in this document should be written in such a way that the potential manager appreciates all the skills and knowledge of the person and wants to see him among his subordinates.

When preparing documents for submission to the Human Resources Department (or Human Resources Department) of a future employer, you need to understand that work experience in a resume is the most important section. It is this part that will be studied more carefully than the others, which means that this part requires special attention.

In the chapter “Work Experience”, you need not just list all the organizations in which the applicant had a chance to work earlier (naturally, in reverse chronological order), but fully describe what the position was, what was included in the main duties at each place. When reading a resume, the employer must clearly understand what exactly the person was doing, what was within his competence, what skills he managed to acquire at each of the previous places of employment.

If the applicant has not previously been employed anywhere, but has been intern for a long time to gain some experience, he should also indicate this by all means.

After all, a student with good marks in the diploma successfullywho has completed practice, for many, is a more desirable employee than a loafer who has many years of experience in the desired profile.

In the case when a sufficiently long search for a good place with decent pay has not been successful, it may be worth considering simpler and lower-paid options in order to return to this issue after a while. Additional experience in this case will definitely benefit, and there is always a chance that a diligent and smart, although young employee will be noticed by the authorities.

There are enough examples in history when a person, having got a job as a courier, secretary or assistant to a junior consultant due to lack of experience, quickly occupied a serious position (even a managerial one). The main thing is to believe in yourself and your own success.
