Wishing to get an early harvest of vegetables, many build greenhouses. But the majority does not know about the rules for caring for them, about ways to prevent various diseases. But when some kind of infection appears, the likelihood that it will infect the entire seating arrangement in the shortest possible time in an enclosed greenhouse is high. In order to prevent pepper diseases in greenhouses, first of all, it is necessary to process its walls, crossbeams, glass and even disinfect the soil - this is the prevention of infection.
In addition, seeds must be treated before planting. In this way, a number of fungal, viral and bacterial infections that can affect plants can be prevented. For disinfection, a dark purple solution of potassium permanganate is used (it is done in this way: 1 g of crystals is dissolved in a glass of hot water). The seeds should lie in it for about 30 minutes, after which they must be washed.
But even with such pre-sowing preparation, it is not always possible to avoid problems, and pepper diseases in greenhouses are not uncommon. So, it happens that gardeners notice white bloom on plants- this is the first sign of stem rot. To prevent the disease from spreading throughout the greenhouse, it is necessary to stop watering, begin to actively ventilate the greenhouses, remove all leaves and stepchildren from the bush to the fork, and remove the plaque with a rag. All damaged areas must be treated with a solution of potassium permanganate and sprinkled with ash.
Also, many pepper lovers are familiar with such a disease as stolbur. It manifests itself as follows: the bare branches stretch upwards, on the leaves that begin to wither, a mosaic pattern appears, while the fruits also suffer - they become ugly and woody. If you notice signs of this pepper disease in greenhouses, immediately dig up the damaged bushes and burn them.
Another infection from which this plant suffers is late blight. You can recognize this type of pepper seedling disease by looking closely at the leaves and fruit. Brown-brown spots appear on them, the affected peppercorns begin to rot. It is quite difficult to fight the disease if the seeds have not been previously pickled. Although you should not despair, spraying with special means often helps to get rid of late blight. And contributes to the development of this pepper disease in greenhouses, excessive humidity, combined with a sharp cold snap at night.
In addition, peppers can also be affected by diseases such as early dry spotting and brown spotting. These sweet pepper diseases, the photo manifestations of which can be seen above, may cause crop loss. Therefore, it is necessary to monitor the level of humidity, temperature in the greenhouse, treat the plants with Bordeaux liquid, which helps fight many infections.
Also, plants can be affected by aphids or spider mites. To combat them, it is enough to spray the seedlings with insecticides that quickly decompose (suitable, for example, "Karbofos" or "Keltan").
