The concept of managerial decisions implies a volitional influence on the team, planning and organization of work aimed at achieving the company's competitiveness. If the concept of managerial decisions is considered from the point of view of their "stages", then four levels can be distinguished:

  • Routine. Accepted by the manager in accordance with a predetermined program of action. The manager's task is to identify the situation indicated in the program, to take one of the recommended decisions. Hence the requirements for the manager of this link: decisiveness, competence, logic, ability to follow the program.
  • Selective. The leader chooses only one from a number of possible solutions: the most optimal one.
  • Adaptive. They require the manager to be able to abandon standard schemes and accept a new creative modern solution to an old problem. The success of such actions depends on the ability of the leader to think outside the box and creatively.
  • Innovative. The concept of managerial decisions of this type implies the emergence of new, previously unseen problems and the ability of a specialist to make a technically or scientifically sound decision. To approve such conclusions, you need to have a good training in the speci alty, be able to usecreative ideas from others.

Decision making by management is a complex multi-step process. It consists of several stages.

  • Study. At this stage, the existing problem is identified, its nature is realized, and an analysis of the criteria that can lead to success is carried out. After that, all the necessary information is collected and a conceptual model of the problem to be solved is created.
  • Generating ideas. At this stage, the manager can work independently, but brainstorming or teamwork to find solutions will be of the greatest benefit.
  • Evaluation of ideas.
