One of the versions of the arrest is violations in the course of supervising the investment program for the construction of the Crimean energy bridge across the Kerch Strait, which were committed by Valery Goncharov. FGC UES claims that this facility was commissioned a year and a half ahead of schedule and no violations were found during the construction and commissioning phase.
Another version of Goncharov's arrest is work with an investment project to unite the energy system of the Urals and Western Siberia into a single network. At the implementation stage of this project, equipment was purchased for multi-million dollar amounts and preference was given to one general contractor. The situation is also aggravated by the fact that the equipment at the stage of purchase did not pass due examinations. According to current information, the amount of embezzlement in the framework of the charges amounted to four hundred million rubles.
