Vaseline technical (GOST 38.0156-79) is characterized by the least cleaning.

That's why it has a peculiar connotation -brownish. In addition, technical vaseline is characterized by a pungent odor (with hints of kerosene). This homogeneous mass, resembling an ointment, is often used as a lubricant. In its composition, it contains additives that protect against corrosion and promote better adhesion to the treated surface.

It should be remembered that when working with this type of Vaseline, contact with the skin should be avoided. Because it can lead to irritation and itching. In addition, it will not be so easy to remove the product, because it is practically insoluble in water.

Among the main properties that technical vaseline has are the following:

• Resistant to acids and alkalis. As laboratory studies have shown, such a technical ointment can withstand their effects for about 3 hours.
• Vaseline technical is not soluble in water and glycerin, hardly soluble in alcohol, but ether, oil and chloroform are the best solvents for this product.
• Has moisture-repellent properties, resulting in excellent protection of machined parts from rust.
• It has good frost resistance. Can withstand temperatures from -40 to +45 degrees.

Vaseline technical: application of the product

This remedy is widely used in various areas of our lives.

1. They are often impregnated with paper and fabrics in the manufacture of electrical equipment.
2. It is used to obtain lubricants that are plastic and resistant to oxidizing agents. For example, it can prevent terminal oxidationbattery.

4. It is often added as a softener to rubber compounds.
5. Vaseline covers the outer surfaces of mechanisms if they are to be transported, or in cases of long-term storage.
6. It is often used in the manufacture of materials that are designed for insulation.
