Childhood and youth

Boo Anderson was born at the beginning of the second half of the 20th century, namely on October 16, 1955. The birthplace of this famous person is the beautiful country of Sweden, in particular its southern city of Falkenberg. In this wonderful city he was born and spent all his childhood and youth there. At the age of 19, young Bo Anderson joins the Swedish armed forces. There he receives military restraint and hardening. It should be noted that in the Swedish Armed Forces he achieved considerable success, rising to the rank of major.

Education

Military service did not prevent him from achieving much in education. Bu Anderson is not only a graduate of the Swedish Military Academy, but also holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Stockholm University, and has completed a management program at one of the world's most prestigious universities, Harvard.

Career

Work inin the automotive industry begins in 1987, at a fairly mature age - at 32 years old. The first position he took in this industry was the post of GM joint venture manager in one of the most famous companies - Saab. After 3 years of work in this post, he is appointed Vice President of Saab in procurement matters. After another 3 years, in 1993, Boo Anderson changed his post again, returning to the company in which he started his career - GM. There he becomes a director. His responsibilities include the purchase of electrical and other electronics. A year later, his duties change again, and he becomes the head of the purchase of chemical materials. After a few years of hard work in this position, he is promoted to Vice President of Purchasing at GM Europe. This event takes place in 1997, when he is already 42 years old, that is, after ten years of work in the field of mechanical engineering. Staying with the same company, Bo Anderson changed direction in 1999 and headed the international purchasing group. From the spring of 2007 until the summer of 2009, Bo Anderson was GM Group's vice president of procurement and supply chain.

In June 2009, he became an adviser to Oleg Deripaska and headed the board of directors of the GAZ Group. It is from this event that his activities in the Russian automotive industry begin.

Activities in Russia

In August 2009, Bo Anderson becomes president of the GAZ Group. In this post, he undertook to combineplanning the company's strategy with the management of the current operating activities. The company's management set the following task for Bo Anderson: to achieve the best balance between such parameters as product quality and costs of various levels. In the course of its activities, this company was able to introduce a new model range to the market, which fully met the requirements of a modern person for a car. The company also began to cooperate with the most famous and sought-after foreign manufacturers in this industry, which helped it strengthen its position in the domestic market and strengthen its leadership among light transport. Thanks to the activities of Bo Anderson, the company increased its annual income in 2012 by 3.5%, which indicates the huge contribution that he made to the development of this company.

Since in October 2013 Igor Komarov, who was previously the president of AvtoVAZ, leaves his post, Bo Anderson becomes one of the main contenders for this position. After some negotiations, it was decided that it was Bo Anderson who would take this post. VAZ was now under his complete control, so it became much easier for him to develop this enterprise. He was approved by the Board of Directors on November 5, and took up his duties on January 13, 2014. He will remain the head of the AvtoVAZ enterprise for the next 3 years, it is after such a period that the president of the company will be re-elected.

Incident with one of the deputies

After a whiletime, after Bo Anderson became the president of AvtoVAZ, he had an unpleasant story connected with one of the heads of the Volga plant workshop, Vladimir Bokk. The fact is that when the president of the company did an inspection, he did not like the fact that employees smoke near their workplaces and leave cigarette butts there. He expressed dissatisfaction with Vladimir Bokk, who did not want to listen to his opinion, after which a verbal skirmish arose, as a result of which Boo Anderson fought with Bokk. Plant workers did not give any comments on this matter, so the true picture of what happened is very blurry. Boo Anderson was very upset by this unpleasant incident. His family supported him, and this paid off: after a couple of days, he completely recovered from what had happened.

Awards and titles

• In 2012 Bo Anderson becomes Honorary Consul of Sweden in Nizhny Novgorod.
• In the same year, he receives the "Outstanding Achievement" award presented to him by Automotive Supply Chain magazine for the success he has achieved in restoring the GAZ Group enterprise.
• In June 2013, he became an honorary citizen of Nizhny Novgorod. He was awarded this title for his huge contribution to the city's economy, the transformations carried out at the Gorky Automobile Plant, as well as the strengthening of his authority among other Russian enterprises.
• Was recognized as the "Best Leader of 2010" in the Russian automotive industry at the international forum in memory of Adam Smith.
